I never watched this game at the time. Didn’t realize how close the Eagles were to winning the game. That tackle on Desean Jackson at the end saved the game

I still remember sitting in the back seat of my friends car on my way back to college having to refresh a website every 30 seconds to get game updates through the fourth quarter. my data package was 25mb a month. That was good for like 4 youtube songs

I had been a die hard packer fan since I was 9, 10 years old so around 99/2000, I remember this playoff run and feeling so confident in Rodgers. When I finally seen them beat the Steelers for the super bowl it was a really great feeling. Funny thing happened though, my interest in football and sports in general diminished the next season and ever since lol. It was like I saw the mountain top and I don’t really need to see it again type of feeling.

That last play by Vick wasn't a bad play. It was one on one coverage. I believe the Philly player has to fight harder to either catch it or prevent the other guy from intercepting it.

Vick was stuck between needing to make a play and having no more time. He had to take a shot. Green Bay left their best cover man Tramon Williams in single coverage knowing he can make plays... and that's what he did. Matt Ryan would find that out too the next week when Williams buried them.

@@dexterhinds7945 Vick underthrew the ball a little bit and some big WRs are agile enough to get their body back into position, but Riley Cooper isn't. He just didn't have the ability to stop his momentum and fight Williams for the ball. Cooper was a tough WR. He would've done more if he could. Vick needed to get the ball higher and to the outside.

This game is what broke my heart to when I saw it. This is the year I became an Eagles fan. I was in middle school that year. 7th grade. I had just started watch football and I remembered Mike Vick. The fact that the Eagles took him in and gave him a chance was great. And the comeback game against the Giants solidified my love and respect for the team. To this day, I respect but despise the Packers since they went on to win it all this year. But looking back on it, this game was great. A classic to me now.

Amen. The Favre days, Michael Vick's first start in Green Bay with the Falcons- Vick tore the Packers a new a-hole and beat them with his legs. Vick was a great qb. Nice, quiet spoken man. The dog fighter thing did him in. Other countries bet on roosters fighting, fish fighting. If dogs want to fight, it's in their nature. There are a lot of mean dog breeds out there that like to fight. Thank goodness the Packers won this one.

I don't know if anything can make up for what Vick did to us that day. I mean he absolutely destroyed us. I still say to this day that the Packers were the better team. I thought we outplayed Atlanta all over the field but Vick just overcame everything, including the fact the Packers had never lost at home in the playoffs before.

If the Eagles had won, they would've won the Super Bowl... These were the 2 hottest teams and nobody was going to beat them.. Vick should've waited a tad bit longer on that throw..

Aaron Rodgers gets the ball back with a minute and a half, that's far from a sure thing.

Man, we lost a lot of key pieces from this team due to some major injuries. Jermichael finley, Nick Collins and Desmond Bishop were all young studs who had their careers cut short. You could argue we still haven't replaced Finley or Bishop. So annoying 😒

That Nick Collins injury in week 2 the next season killed our defense for years to come. Along with Charles Woodson, he was the perfect field general for our secondary.

@@Peezster Yeah, it was crazy seeing the Packers defense actually make solid and concentrated stops. They seemed so disciplined. It's something that's never fully been replicated again by that squad, especially in the playoffs.

I remember this game, and thinking they just might do it, only for Vick to turn it over on the very next play. I immediately thought of 4th and 26 to get me over the loss.

Eagles got lucky this year a dumb black man was defensive coordinator for the Giants in 2010.

I actually wanted the Eagles to win. We mightve had a better chance against them. No offense. Instead we got scrapped by the Packs the following game. Look at it this way Eagle fans, at least you guys made it a close-competitive game. :)

This was a very good Eagles offensive team that covered up for a lot of weaknesses like the offensive line and defense. Philly weaknesses were exposed in the playoffs and missing two field goals really hurt. Philly at least makes it to the NFC championship if they win this game

BTW, did you know Phily has 1.5 million population and Green Bay about 100,000 or 1/15th the size of Philly. Either Philly should be embarrassed or Green Bay should be proud as hell. Vick didn't need to go for the TD there, they were doing just fine on short passes. He got greedy. The Packers demolished the Falcons in the next round, but barely beat the Bears on a closing INT, when again the QB got greedy.

That's because Vick was never a good QB. QB is a cerebral position; and he didn't have it. He couldn't win the big one. He was part of teams that one two playoff games. Everyone looks at Vick in that comeback win against the Giants but couldn't win after.

I'm a Packer fan, but I disagree. Vick had to take a shot. He got single coverage with Riley Reif who was a tall WR. He just made bad throw. Like Aikman said, if he puts that ball up higher to the corner it's maybe a touchdown. It's an inaccurate throw and Williams makes him pay for it. But if they tried more short passes, they lose anyways because GB just didn't give up points very often in the red zone.

AOD Vision, I attended that game so I didn’t see the national broadcast till later and there are a handful of plays that I can’t get over, the announcers don’t comment on it, no media members at the time commented on it, it’s one of the oddest and frustrating plays I’ve ever watched

Do you have the 2006 nfc championship game between the Bears and Saints?

2010 Packers are unusual in the Rodgers era. 10th most points scored, 2nd Fewest Points allowed is the resume of a typical SB champ; Great D and good enough Off, capable of heroics but more then happy to win 21-10. How does Rodgers get an 8.3 Yard Per Attempt, #2 on the season behind Rivers absurd 8.7 YPA; and score 7 or less points against Bills cowboys jets AND vikings?! If I was a packer fan I'd rewatch all 4 and rewind but Im not. For me classic Giants get that kind of time investment a decade later.

Rodgers had an absurd stat line early on: Through 2011 he had NEVER won a game in which they lost a lead in the 4th. No Comebacks. It doesn't matter when the D was that good, but in 2011 he really fucked it up on film at home, MVP season 15-1 against the 9-7 Giants. Well, the 19th or worse fewest points don't normally win much in the postseason; outside of 06 Manning. Then he became Captain Comeback and we forgot all that.

This win was one of my best birthday presents! I chewed all my fingernails at the end. We won the SB on my brothers Bday...it was meant to be that year.

it was definitely a special year as a Packers fan. The only other time I remember them winning it all with Favre they had 1 offense and defense that year. Maybe only Patriots pulled that off with those stats with Brady.

I'm pretty proud of my team winning it all in the 2010 season with all of the injuries, including Rodgers missing some time. The Bears and Giants had opportunities to take us out in December and they both failed, giving us the chance to make a run and that's all we needed when we got hot at the right time. Both starters and fill-ins stepped up in big moments. Sam Shields, Erik Walden, Chad Clifton, Frank Zombo, Howard Greene, James Starks, Nick Collins to name some guys that aren't with us anymore.

After watching this game back again, it seemed like Philly did everything to let Green Bay win: Mikell not recovering the fumble that was literally in his lap, Akers leaving points on the field, and poor short yardage play calls by Reid.

Andy Reid was the reason they were in this game honestly. He takes a ton of shit but execution was the reason they lost. Horrific tackling, missed FG’s, stepping OOB on 2 pt, and overthrows.

I was at this game. I distinctly remember the play at 2:14:20. If Jackson had beat that guy at the 40 he would of taken it to the house. The remaining guy was flat footed with a blocker on him.

Andy reed is great offense head coach. it doesn't matter what qb he has, reed turn qb's and having their best season in their career. like Vick and Alex smith. I really believe if Mahomes didn't have Reed he wouldn't be as good as he is now.

CooLMar Owenz this game is not all Vick’s fault, David Akers missed 2 easy field goals and had he not missed one of them the Eagles would’ve been down 21-19 and would’ve only needed a field goal to win 22-21, and Vick would’ve played the Bears had he won this game and I don’t think he would’ve beaten them in Soldier Field in cold weather

Bad pass by Vick. Although there was clearly illegal contact by the db. But the nfl is so inconsistently called you never can count on anything. You can’t throw that ball like that. You have to put it up high and let your big wideout a chance to go get it. Not low. That was the easiest INt in that dBs career. Vick always did this in big games. Not clutch. Dangerous throughout the game for sure. But when it’s tight there’s a lot of other guys you’d rather have under center.

Green Bay was so lucky to win this. For some reason they decided that Starks was their superstar, and went to well way too many times in the second half. Did McCarthy forget how to run play action? Weird game that the Packers should have dominated.

What happened to GB the next year? They r better suited as the underdog than being the top seed.

2:16:30 With the exception of the Ravens-Chiefs game, this was definitely one of the most exciting Wild Card Weekends I have ever seen.

@@erics2739 It was the only game of that weekend that resulted in a blowout compared to the other three. Though as a Chargers fan, I was very happy to see Baltimore blowout KC.

The ironic thing is if Vick doesn’t have the miracle comeback against the giants this yr in the regular season the packers don’t even make the playoffs this yr. then they beat them here. Rodgers could have 0 sbs

@@clarencewalker5956 Actually was this season and Giants told kicker to kick out of bounds but he didn't so Desean took it off a bounce and scored. Btw kicker got cut I believe after season and I'm a Packer fan. Edit. Looked it up and didn't matter who won between Eagles vs Giants as we went to beat giants and eagles that season so had tie breaker on either team.

Lol! I’ve been a packers fan since the magic man era.

That failed two-point conversion by the Eagles was a disaster, along with the two missed field goals. It changed the whole game.

Back when the Packers coaches were being picked by teams everywhere. Andy Reid, Doug Pederson, etc were exceptionally good coaches. Along with also having some of the best backup QB's in the NFL. Matt Flynn who torched the Lions for 6 TD's in the last game of the year. Sadly they blew up in the playoffs that year, but we had some amazingly fun games, and some incredible plays, and players! Back when Free Agents WANTED to come to the Green Bay Packers, whereas now? Hah! They'd rather play for a 1-15 team! What used to be our best attribute, player loyalty, has become one of the biggest jokes Sadly!😥

Mike Vick played good enough to win this game! If you say its his fault the eagles lost you don't know football bc Aaron Rodgers had a turnover too & his team and coaching backed him enough to get the W. Akers missed 2 very makable field goals and after he already missed 1 field goal Andy Reids decision to try a field goal on 4th & a half yard in the redzone with Mike Vick as your qb killed the eagles chances of winning. It wasn't a terrible decision but he already missed a pretty easy field goal & he's no Justin Tucker I been an eagles fan since 2002 to know.

I was there and it sucked Michael Vick threw an interception at the end🤬 and that was the year the Packers went on to win the Super Bowl Aaron Rodgers
