I can't 'thumbs up' the commend because I am a Vikings fan, but I agree that the Eagles had some very memorable players at this time. That's back when the NFL was better, IMM.

Ooo. Just got a hot dose of nostalgia for the 00-04 Eagles. Summer of 04 the hype for the Eagles was electric. It was almost as if they had already won the super bowl. It was a forgone conclusion. The party had already started. 2017 feels almost hollow compared to what 2004 would have been had they done it. 2017 came outta nowhere. Nobody expected the Eagles to be that good, especially after Wentz went down. The 04 Eagles had been building for years steadily getting closer till they hit a wall that their #2 WRs couldn't get them over. In comes TO. The best in the game at that point in time. Added to probably they most talented roster in the NFL. With a dangerously bold coach in a pass happy offense. It was football heaven I can only hope to experience again one day. That opening day vs the giants and the bomb to TO. *chefs kiss.

Great upload. I still remember taking the bus to high school in California on this day and seeing two other students who I'm guessing were friends wearing a Randy Moss and Donovan McNabb jersey. Even though 2004 sucked for the NFC, I liked both matchups between the Vikings/Eagles that year. Vikings struggled like crazy in the redzone during this showdown, and that Culpepper fumble near halftime must have been a gut-punch for Vikings fans. BTW, shoutout to Vikings guard David Dixon. That guy was maybe the biggest guard I've ever seen and quietly become an anchor on the Vikings offensive line for a decade with 2004 being his final season. Just a goliath of a gatekeeper.

BTW I don't know if it's too late in the pipeline, but since the 49ers and Broncos will square up on SNF, there are a few interesting historic options to spotlight (other than Super Bowl 24 which you already did). 1985 MNF 49ers at Broncos where Montana and Elway dueled for the first time (snowball game). Another good one is 1997 Broncos at 49ers on MNF with two powerhouse squads duking it out at Candlestick. Final one off the top of my head is the 1988 Broncos at 49ers game in which the wind played a huge factor. Don't know if the audio rights issues for those two MNF games would be a hurdle, but just wanted to put some suggestions out there if it isn't too late. As always, cheers boss.

Probably should've tried that endzone fade to Moss the first two times they were at the goal line.

I'm from South Philly and I thought the VIKINGS had a future HOF player in Culpeper, a bigger version of McNabb

The Eagles and the Vikings did a great job of containing both Moss and Owens, respectively, in the first half of this game. Even when they were targeted, and caught their respective passes, the opposing defenders were largely able to tackle them at, or near, the points of reception and prevent explosive yards-after-catch runs. In terms of head-to-head production, Terrell was the better of the pair, even with the one falling corner of the goal-line TD that should've been reviewed and negated. While Moss did catch a TD in the end-zone, the overwhelming majority of the Vikings' offensive production in this game came from the supporting cast of secondary receivers and the running game.

I’m a Cowboys fan, but these early 2000sEagles teams were solid. I wished they would have won a ring instead of the most recent Philly championship.
