Great video. I’m a mechanic that just bought a rrs for my wife lol. I’m having a similar issues. My cluster has already been repaired once lol but I think acting up again.

@@sniiiper Place in Toronto Canada eh mentioned in the fix video at 0:10 in this linked below video. It did have a problem with the fuel gage afterwards which he did repair under warranty after complaining so keep that in mind. @@PhillipBailey will this problem affect vehicle?? Like affect the battery and give me trouble starting it? Or any mechanical problem?? Asking cause I’m looking at one with 119k miles for $4500 runs great only problem is fuel gauge not working, also few other electronics not working, can I buy it like this ???

Sent the cluster away to have it repaired. Came back working but a problem with the fuel gage which they fixed under warranty a second time. Here is the video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/g2SCu6-Kf8Sdg9Y.html

By the way if you already faced this problem let me know ... the light that indicate the transmission position (P,R,N,D) is always stuck on D event when I shift to other positions, also I have only the D mode that is working even when I put the shifter in sport mode ... some videos stated that some time there is corrosion on the connector ... I did the verification and the connector was like new the pin on the shifter also were ok ....my next point to check is the TCCM ....

Sounds like the shifter lever switch has malfunctioned. I haven't seen that personally but that would be my guess. Is it the same year and model

@@PhillipBailey I will receive a new shifter (complete assembly) by next week... I will let you know if the problem resolved or not ... my LR3 is an 2006 SE 4.0L

@@damorafik That seems to be a common fix but I am skeptical. Have you scanned the transmission control system for codes? The shift mode switch is internal to the transmission from what I can see. I'd be looking at data in the transmission module. Good luck.

That's a stretch. I'd start with a network scan of all controllers first. See if you have any can bus codes security or starter control codes. Good luck

I can buy a used instrument cluster with less miles and flash it with GAP Diagnostics IID tool, about 175 USD for cluster and 37 USD for Flash from GAP. I own a Gap already (512 USD). or I can send it away for 300 USD ( ebay shop called - stores.digitalautotech.com/). I called the place you used dashboardinstrumentcluster.com/ and they have a location in Miami florida now and they want 600 USD for repair. I also found a repair guide in Russian (chrome translated it) I am going to tear down cluster (powerfulUK made a video how to tear down) and check solder joints and connector) My green board is loose too. Dealer wants 842 USD and my old one back, just for the part. SO i have options. Thanks again for getting me going on this. Much appreciated. Links below. Unfortunately I'm not sure if a used cluster will work as its programmed to the vehicle. Nor do I know if you can reprogram a used one using a J2534 programmer. A new cluster definitely needs to be programmed and won't work til it is. That's why I sent the original for repairs. Try a Google search for a land Rover forum where this is discussed... good luck

I have the same problem. Instrument panel dry joint . How much was the repair.

CLEAR ALL CODES FIRST. THEN SEE WHATS REALLY GOING ON

These cars looks like they are owned by gost you have a problem one day and it's will disappear next day however you will notice another 2 problems without any relation between the first problem .... even that I like my Lr3 :)
