    Hey man I did a same job on a 2014 Silverado with the 4.3, I did everything by the book but when I hooked up the steering rack it said power steering drive with care, is there a fix for this like having to reprogram or no

  • @PhillipBailey

    There should be a code in the power steering module. You need to scan it. Check that all the connectors are plugged into the rack.

    Great video. My differential was leaking via axle due to the seized breather. And I also had the whining sound. Recently the head gasket began leaking in to cylinder 4 & 6.After 16 yrs of owning this car, always taking care of it, Ive decided enough is enough. Time for a trade in. No more Toyota's for me. Moving on to Mazda.

    Hi Phillip. P06dd on FCA will make the pcm derate the engine by limiting the throttle actuation for “protection“ and when that happens, some people interpret it as limp mode which is different than trans limp mode as you know. As for oil pressure tester, mopar has 2021500090 for 2014 and up. You’ll find lots of different tools and adapters online by just googling. Good luck

    Was there not a test kit where you take off oil filter cap (not filler, filter) and replace the cap with one that has a fitting to hook up to a real oil pressure gauge for testing. I think there are 2 different kinds based on year of motor.

  • @PhillipBailey

    There is the main converter in the exhaust manifold. Remove the forward O2 sensor and try it. This is the O2 on top of the manifold. Be careful that you don't start the car on fire with the exhaust blowing out the sensor hole. Should be checking back pressure.

    Couldn't you just run switched power to the factory relay to control it instead of adding another relay?

  • @PhillipBailey
    @PhillipBaileyКүн бұрын

    @jajajajajajajajaja867 the relay is switched by a ground from the master switch. There are a few ways to do this including wiring in an auxiliary switch to supply the ground but the operator would have to remember to turn it off or it would drain the battery over a few days. This way it's automatic. Or you could just buy a new switch.

  • @PhillipBailey

    @TheNINpou that's part of one of the dash harness. I'd recommend to go to a salvage yard and cut one off another truck. Try to get a few inches of wire with it. I'm sure you can depin a terminal.
