The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah, that's cool."
I'm also the producer for the Winding Road KZread Channel:
/ windingroadmagazine
Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly press vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, it's pretty nuts. Or don't. As long as you whitelist me on your adblocker I'm okay with whatever you do or don't do with regards to headphone usage. That is all. Oh and I guess you should also probably subscribe. Why are you still reading this, you should be watching the video. With headphones! Hah, had to sneak that in there one more time. Later!

I feel like I got lucky. found an 09 Si sedan white with only 50k miles on it. everything stock except the radio (who care about that). I am back in heaven. Love this car. It's not really that simple. GM under past ownership would never have the kind of foresight to do this. They are closing factories of cars that don't sell well due to the demand for SUV's, and retooling for electric. While painful, I think this shows how the new GM leadership are actually thinking about the future.

Did you know that GM had an internal memo that they needed to cancel the 3.8 motor because it was "too good" and thus they needed a more disposable engine to use. Good luck getting 300K out of anything GM has put since their bankruptcy. Those 3.6's LOVE to stretch their timing chains......

My second on I bought with 215,000 and it ran perfectly, no rattles felt almost new. That turned me into a Honda guy for life. I’ve had 5 Honda’s so far, 0 check engine lights and no day ruining problems. Only bad thing I can say is NY salt will rust up a Honda pretty quick but same with most cars.

enjoyed the review and its nice to see this car getting some recognition, they've been overlooked for years with the other manufacturers throwing boost at their engines and getting bigger numbers. you can make these cars fast of course, but what i love about them is how visceral and balanced they are from the factory while still being completely reliable, practical and cheap to own. its very easy to put them at their limit and the overall experience is so much fun. these are the last of their kind and kinda special as Hondas go, only the S2K, NSX, ITR and the 8th gen Si got the high revving VTEC/6spd/LSD combo in the US. Honda will never make an engine like the N/A K20 again for us Average Joes due to emissions and the horsepower wars, so go experience one of these while you can whether its just a drive or owning one. i'll have my 2010 FA5 for as long as possible.

CMC and slave cylinder was replaced at 62,000 miles and new clutch was put in at 118,000 since the car still runs flawlessly. Just an update*** I’m currently @ 177,000 miles. Car still runs great had a few little problems I’ve ran into and it all started @ 175,000 miles. LEFT REAR brake caliper blew and started leaking, easy fix thanks to KZread. The other problem I ran into was my ALTERNATOR . Got it replaced 3x from Advance Auto Parts and the 3rd alternator finally got my car running correctly, boy I tell I was stressed as hell for a week straight, the first 2 alternators I had put in the civic was CarQuest brand and it was no luck for me. 1st one died after a day of installing. 2nd one gave out after a week. Not only did they gave out on me it was also causing my Si to idle surge at rolling stops & dead stops. But as of today the car runs fine. I plan on riding till the wheels fall off.

I love my 07 Si coupe !! got it @ 18 in 2012 and had always loved it since. Funny thing is I actually thought the 8th gen civics were ugly when I was in middle school when they came out. But one day, I was shopping for a used car and I was set on getting a 06 RSX type s but once I sat inside the civic I knew it was the right car. I learned to drive manual with it. The only thing I had to change was the CMC like 2 times already but that the only thing. no check engine lights or anything. I got it with 74K miles and now it has 115k and this year it's getting painted since my clear coat is trashed by socal heat :/. Although my car has its imperfections wish I would have bought her new but I would never get rid of my car I have a strong bond with that thing lol

This was a great video! You know, since you already make videos on new cars, I’d suggest that you create a segment for reviewing used cars as well! I know you’ve filmed a few older cars, but I think it should be done more often. I’m sure you have a lot of younger people or teenagers that watch your videos or are subbed to the channel that are looking to buy their first cars used & I think reviews on those would be helpful to them. Plus, it would be interesting in general to see on the channel too! I love these videos of older, used, higher-mileage cars!

I bought that exact same Si but with Nav in 2008, loved it, wish I still had it. Those mods are completely unnecessary. More torque was what that car needed, handling and braking were spot on right off the showroom floor and maybe summer performance tires depending on where you live or two sets of wheels and tires like I did.

Hey! I am in the market for one of these and how oddly coincidental that you have a review of one right now! :D And yes! I do agree with you. A shifter does make or break a car. Especially a sports car. For the longest time I have been fond of everything about the 86/BRZ EXCEPT the shifter design and feel and that has put me off on buying one for years. Especially after driving cars like the Miata (all generations) and the S2000. I own a newer BRZ now but I still find the shifter to be one of its lowest points relating to the drive.
