That is the reason I subscribed to his channel. I only pay attention to him talking during walkaround part. Once he starts driving, especially manual cars, I only focus on his hand movements between steering wheel and gear shifter and also his driving maneuver.

I may wait until the model refresh. This doesn't have fog lights and other options that the Canadian one has, and it sells for cheaper up in Canada too. So, yes. The US version has less options/features for more money. I'm hoping that the model refresh will roll in those added items. That fuel economy sounds very good though!!

The Civic Si should never be overlooked~ Yes, you have the Honda Civic Type R which is a very sporty vehicle, but I feel like some people do not give the Si the credit it deserves. I've always loved Honda manual transmissions, I think their transmissions are the best in the business, and the Si is definitely no slouch. I just love the Civic lineup in general, and you can never go wrong with a Honda Civic. These things are bulletproof for years.

I have this Civic Si 2024. It's great if you have kids. I've had many cars, SW20, AE86, Evo X, 90s Sentra, then switched to trucks and Suvs. I had to get a new daily driver and bought a 24 Civic Sport 2.0 automatic trans at first. I returned it for a different Civic, test drove a 2.0 hatchback touring and then my Civic Si. I ended up with the Civic Si, because it reminded me of my Evo X. Not as fast as my Evo X but ride is more comfortable and quieter in this Civic Si. I'm a Toyota fan and wanted the GR86 Trueno but wouldn't work for my small family in the case of emergencies. It's a great daily, good for long drives on freeway, good gas mileage, good sedan body because the HB gets water in the trunk when it's raining. Overall so far I love this Civic Si.

Mr Topher really didn’t sound happy for one second when ever driving the last SI, but many love it. I own the 9th gen, and it is plenty fast. Sheesh, my wife’s 2019 2 liter corolla is fast enough once the CVT catches up to your throttle input. It really depends what you want; the philosophy of what your vehicle needs to be. For many of us, our vehicle needs to be cheap or hold a child’s seat.

You can't use 87 octane or buy use nornal tread wear tires, the sound insulation isn't as good in a type r, the Integra will probably be much better day to day for less. I wish Honda sold this Si in Europe. I feel like this kind of spec could be very attractive to the average young european family. 6MT, reasonably priced mid-size sedan (for euro standards), with an efficient engine and some sporty vibes to deal with the twisties that are so usual around here. I'm sure they will offer some sort of 'sport' model here but, as for every previous gen, it will be a lot further from the Type R in terms of feeling than the Si.

You can "tune" out whatever is left of that rev hang. At least to the point of it being barely noticeable. I had a 10th gen SI and factory rev hang was unbearable, I ended up trading it back to dealer. I've rode inside a tuned 10thgen since and can say it's more of an ECU emission thing than a flywheel problem. Not to say a single mass doesnt help.
