cause with bolt ons and a tune and clutch the new civic can make 340wtq and 260whp . this car MAYBE makes 230-240 whp with if a whole 170 wtq with alot more work done to it

no the type r civic cannot be tuned yet due to the new Bosch ECU . no one has cracked into it yet . not hondata or ktuner . hondata only offers reflash services . plus the type r on a dyno makes around 290whp not 260 lol

first off, Vtec in an Si is sooooo much more monsterous than in my honda oddesy. second, when he pinned it the fist time i thought it would blow up so bad they would all die :)

Picked up and in process of restoring an FG2 Fiji Blue coupe I picked up from the Insurance. The K20Z3 just begs to be revved.

Certainly this car give the best value for money! More than any other car in the history! more than a Ferrari or a Mercedes...and if you come back and test it 10 years from today everything will work like today

Taylor Harless agreed with that, but 25k might be a bit wishful. Still, Honda should’ve focused on the driving experience, since they can’t win the numbers game with FWD (besides the Nurburgring record, but that doesn’t matter too much).

Yeah the stock SI suspension is a good balance for a daily especially in Massachusetts where we have the worst roads in the world

The way he went around corners with the rpm at 8500k with no load on the engine when he could of just been in 3rd and had plenty of power to pull threw. Hope thats a baffled pan cause those high revs around a corner while your oil is getting pulled to the side of the pan at 8500k will surely suck a little air and cause that type r oil pump to have a bit of cavitation

What's the mods you've done? I own an 09 & an 06 (both fg2) that I hit a damned deer with while doing 70mph into a bend last spring. I'm actually in the middle of a clutch job & refresh on the 09, got the exedy stage 1clutch kit & hf02 light weight flywheel that I'm putting in. Anyway, I was just curious. The 8th gen Si's & k20z3 motors are very well built by Honda. But doing a fwd clutch job really does suck compared to rwd

i don't know why anyone's giving you crap about the shifting aside from the stall which anybody does on a first drive in a car with a racing flywheel. they were nice, well timed throws and rev matches while trying out the complete rev range. anyway, nicely done example of a proper N/A Si and definitely fun to listen to.

sorry i'm not seeing it. yeah, slightly janky downshift at ~5:00 and the stall but otherwise fine for a first time in a new car. definitely not bogging a lot. but i own one of these cars and have been driving nothing but manual for the last 18 years so what do i know.

Tunes can help the rev hang a little bit. Flywheel will make a much bigger difference though

I would rather take this than the new 10th gen si. For one, the 10th gen doesnt even have vtec, thats what makes the si stand out I think.

Basically non-existent since it was tuned out

That is not 275whp worth of mods without a k24 bottom end. 240whp. 250 if it's on e85.

It may not reach 60 as quick as others, but I can promise this car can hang with some serious competition in the corners. The grip and balance are mind blowing.

The 10thGen Si is fast and nice and a lot of torque but the exterior and the design is not my cup of tea 🤷🏻‍♂️ however the exterior is nice! Either way I like my 8th Gen and can rev to 82k rpm cause is stock so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Would've just bought a 9th gen accord right off the bat and get 3 more hp stock.
