Thanks for video, just found pilot adjustment was missing washer and o ring. Runs like a champ. Someone before me must have lost it during rebuild and hasn't run right since, but does now!

Try JIS screw driver. Those are Japanese screws, notable by the dot. No need for impact driver. You also did not remove the top off of carb to clean under the diaphragm and needle.

How did you remove the choke cable & throttle cables?

Every video I have seen omits the detail on removing the accelerator cable (including you). Can you give me a hint on how that is done. Last thing holding my carb on....help

I think the danger of using the hex heads is you can over torque them & damage the aluminum housing of the carburetor. Which would you rather strip a screw head or the threads inside the carb?

Is there a manual for that type I'm having such a hard time finding out which hoses go where any help would be appreciated

You can save yourself a lot of problems down the road if you will replace the 4 phillips head screws with hex heads. I think they are 3 mm.

You need JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) Phillips screwdrivers. Japanese Phillips screw heads are different than American. I’ve been fighting stripping out Phillip head screws for years until I discovered I’ve been using the wrong tool!

At 11:20 you have the carb turned upside down. There are four items at the bottom. To the right is the heater. The center top is the brass plug. The center bottom is the jet. On the left is a threaded hole. I don't see you put anything back in it. Is it left open?

omits the key step of removing the accelerator cable. In my case, the single item i needed to know. Otherwise. Helpful.

BTW - I did figure it out, actually so easy I see why you left it out. Simply slack the cable slightly and pull out the brass cable end with your thumbnail. Boom. It was easy. Otherwise all great stuff. thanks.

Do you replace the plug that you drilled out?

Hi Cody. I have never replaced one. I have seen others replaced but if you ever had to do the job again you would have to remove it again. I feel that is not only more work but I do not want to have to drill on the carburetor again. Less chance of something else happening. Hope this helps.
