Alonso used to be in renault the previous years, so he had a car that liked to understeer. It is how he could drive as fast as he did. 2007, new car, new tires. The way he found to make the car go fast was more towards oversteer. He is a professional, and I think if anything Hamilton learned from Alonso, giving Lewis the speed he has now.

Alonso had issues with the handling of this car and the new Bridgestone control tyres that were introduced in 2007. He really disliked them, just as Kimi did at Ferrari. But Fernando adapted so quickly. He is not as sensitive to the handling of the car as other drivers. It takes him a few races and he is there. This is a strength and a weakness, because usually his feedback is not the greatest apparently.

@@ciaronsmith4995 yeah maybe it is a lack of english vocabulary because he is a very vocal driver, maybe this helped when he had spanish engineers in his younger years early on
