I really appreciate your video, well done! I am looking at buying an '06 Mega Cab SLT with 4wd and a 5.7 but it has 177k miles on it. Has your truck had any issues since this video? How many miles do you have now? Anything I should check for? It's a 2-owner truck. Thank you!

I traded the Megacab in a day after making the video for a 2012 Power Wagon. With my experience so far in regards with both trucks (both 5.7s but the PW has vvt) I would do a test drive and get a feel for it, suspension, power/idle, temp reading, 4wd working ect. My current advice if you choose to purchase depending on what it needs is update/upgrade the cooling system i.e electric fan, aluminum radiator, 180 degree thermostat. For oil I run 5w30 synthetic with a viper filter, mopar atf transmission fluid, and 75w140 severe gear in the rear and 75w90 in front. So far so good. Around 160k the starter died, I'm unsure if it was the original one.

I want you to know this cause I’m currently suing a dealership. When you oil pressure sensor goes out buy an oem mopar part. For these trucks go all oem. I’m telling you now. Cause my truck popped up with a oil pressure sensor. I went to autozone. Bought one to replace and my truck would shut off while driving. Then I would pull over and restart the engine. I take it to the dealership they replace recalled parts and replace my foot pedal and tipm. Which was 2,200$. I paid for it as I was driving out of the dealer my truck shuts off. I come back a month later my ecu is fried they said my light bar did it. So then I just said give me my truck back I had enough. I replace the ecu from a website where u send them ur vin and they send u one. I replaced it truck still shuts off. So now I’m scratching my head confused cause I’ve done everything right. I just go on mopar and buy the oil pressure sensor for 40$ replace it and bam my truck is driving fine. So remember this cause I don’t want you to get scammed like me

Damn bro that sucks! Thanks for the heads up, from what I've read in groups and forums a lot of people mostly recommend Mopar only parts so ill definitely stick with that advice.
