Thing as I don’t understand is why don’t people just get the air ducts for that model - piece that you bought and then get a saw cut them in half the tubes and then graph your tube onto the new tube so you need to measure from the part you cut and then you grab those two pieces. It’s actually making into one part part that’s custom
Thanks for the video
Thanks for the video
Thank you bro I’ve been trying to fix it 🙏🏽
I know squat about working on cars.. with that said, I have just bought an 88 Accord lx. What engines and transmissions can easily go in this car?
Having problem with code 13 baro sensor is there any solution to this without replacing the ecu under the seat
Nice vid man, I happen to work for an auto parts brand. Can I send you some stuff for you to do a review?
Nice vid bro, I happen to work for an auto parts brand. Can I send you some stuff over for you to review?
Hey bossman! I know this is outside of the topic of the video, but i've been wondering about the suspension on the 88 accord. I have a 1988 ca5 accord and im currently stuck trying to find coilovers for it. I live in finland so ordering actual ca5 coilovers are SUPER expensive. Do you know if other hondas coilovers will work on the ca5? Sorry for the wall of text and lack of grammar. Keep up the good content!
Thank you for checking out my channel and don't worry about the grammer, your English is better than my Finnish. I usually don't recommend any other suspension for the CA5 due to how unique the suspension is. What are attempting to do? Lower the car?
@@aziangarage Purely just lowering the car. its a rust bucket so i might aswell just stance it and have fun 😀
96-00 Civic rears will lower the back quite a bit, for the fronts I recommend using the Accord top hats and forks due the civic forks being taller which will raise the front, the civic shock body is slightly wider than the Accord so some modification may be needed to slip them in the Accord forks. I don't know how low the front will go with stock Civic springs/shocks. I know you said you are just having fun with the car so don't expect this setup to ride comfortably and or last long. I hope this helps!
@@aziangarage thank you so much 🙏
@@Harmaalap man you can use lowering springs
Thank you so much ❤
Anything to modernize these old platforms to make them stay on the roads ,affordability and ease of parts is a must ❤ the content, definitely gonna do this to my 3 gee accords now
those cats are so cute
Hey I don't know if you still have that Honda Accord but I have a 1989 and I need to change the clutch and have no mechanic skills at all need help be great if you could help
I still have the Accord, kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6uaqJivgM-3ZbQ.htmlsi=HttXtQ52f4VN5QEk
Hell ya! I was worried about trying to get to work tomorrow😂
Wish I could keep my da unfortunately going out for sale in cali
Goos stuff. Been wanting to do this for years
It might be a little late for a comment but why not. I got my weber swap running before i found this video (this couldve saved me some time). Though now my engine gets very hot and thought about looping the coolant hoses to the thermostat housing. Would i recon this to work?
Did you plug the coolant lines that went to the OEM carb? That's what I did and never had any problems. You can loop them and see if it helps.
Great tips! Engine oil used to work okay in some manual transmissions, but it doesn't work well anymore because modern engine oils have gotten so slippery that they will keep the synchros from grabbing well, preventing smooth shifts. It won't damage anything in the short term and it's fine to use in an emergency if it's low and the proper fluid isn't available, but I wouldn't use it intentionally because it isn't really compatible anymore.
Man that’s a helluva lot easier without the timing belt cover in place. Any issues as time has gone on and not having that cover there?
I haven't had any issues but then again I don't daily drive the car anymore.
Thank you everything youve posted and for continuing to post content! I recently got an old accord from this same era, and your videos have helped me a ton. I definitely owe you a beer.
Dude would you possibly be able to give me some advice regarding switching parts from MK2 Honda preludes. It's been off the road for years and I'm trying to bring her back. I'd even pay. Thanks bro
Finally found something relevent.. thanks My prelude is fucked I need some serious advice on switching parts please Honda bros
You should have said something about the gasket sealer and how many other bolts you have to take off to get to the waterpump like the 3 part shield that go's over the timing belt.
Yooo. Do you have a video on doing/setting the engine timing? Im in need of some help! Thanks man

@@aziangarage You're a life saver man
Using 99-00 original radio bezel lets you use a double din 7" radio rather than 9". I myself prefer 7" double din radio as they give better sound quality than the new off brand 9" china radios.
not sure if you still reply, but, what did you do for your weber swap, how the throttle cable doesnt pull fully or how the TV cable hooks up to it. I am having issues with the TV cable with mine. In your video you said youd send some resources on it, but i didnt see much in the desc for it.
glad to see someone still making 3rd gen content, i recently got my 88 accord couple months ago and already hooked it up with wheels and coils and lips and music, i live the hell out the car
I know this is an old video, but I believe it's your latest video talking about the 3rd gen Accord. Would you have any pointers for why my 88 LXi begins to misfire at idle after reaching operating temperature? I've replaced my cap + rotor, main ignition coil, and a new battery. Accelerates and drives just fine, only hiccups and starts misfiring when I come to a stop. I'm kinda lost 😅
My accessories don’t ever wanna come off 😫😫😫
Bro. I tried everything till I saw this video. Never crossed my mind to look up and observe if it was hitting. Great video!
hey brother. i have a 1991 acura integra gs. my car was turned on but it just turned off while it was idling , now when i try to turn on my car it just cranks. what does this mean?
Fire video. Also if I’m correct I think those screws are JIS screws sometimes a Phillips #2 works but usually strips
Ca2 ca5 👍
More video 🔥👏👏
Wooow amazing. I have an 85 Accord EX canadian model. I have 9.5” rotors looking for a larger upgrade this might work out for me
The knuckle on your Accord might be different than what I have. The 9.5" and 10.3" equipped vehicles use different caliper brackets.
Hell yeah! A new upload! Excellent info. Just an FYI to everyone, the front brake calipers on an Intehra Type R aren't unique to just that model. They are a parts bin caliper. Shared with the CL, Accord wagons, 5th Gen Prelude, and Odyssey. There actually arent too many ITR-specific mechanical parts. Its a hodge-podge of random H/A models. I understand its easier to just call them ITR calipers though.
i have a 1998 Honda Prelude h22a4 5 speed manual I just wanna know what's A way I can tune it. its my first car and all I have are the basic bolt ons. I'm not looking to make boost just yet I just want to tune it to get the most out of it be able to go E85 and have a little more fun. this tuning stuff is a bit confusing to me. if you can point me in the right direction that would be amazing. can i just buy a ecu thats ready to go or how does it work from what im reading i need to go OBD 1.
Great Points that i really was desiring! I really appreciate you and your channel and what you do!!! 🙏
Hey thank you this is the first video that I've watched and now I feel like I could do it
Does anyone know what the small rubber piece in the center of crossmember is? The name of it because mine is really messed up it looks like a mount...
In your experience, where on the clutch pedal travel should the bite, or engagement, point, be? How should one go about with a high bite point, given the clutch cable is adjusted on the transmission release side & clutch grabs good? Thanks.
Does anyone know where I can get a driver's front door window run for a 1988 Honda Accord the rubber is destroyed...???
For wheels, what size overfenders and width/offset did you go with?
Theres been a RWD LS swapped 3G using foxbody parts. Needed a widebody to fit the engine in, lots of cutting. Dont remember who did it but its on youtube
Performing this later today hope it works out
Before anyone tries this cause no start and it’s not the main relay change your alternator solenoid valve fuse in the driver side kick panel fuse box
Where did you get your headlights in the intro?

First off Fantastic Video! Two Questions: 1-How do I get the Cruise Control to work after the Weber Install? Should it still function or is there vacuum lines that need to be rerouted? 2-When I turn my A/C on while sitting or in Park my car idles rough. Where do I hook the vacuum lines from the AC Idle Boost Valve on the driver side to? A/C works fine, but the boost isn't functioning to assist with idling while sitting still.
Thank you! I am unsure due to the fact my hatch is a DX and did not have Cruise control and AC never worked when I got the car so I removed it. From what I've briefly read on the forums the AC idle booster is only the oem carb and you will loose it with the Weber, in the Weber manual it says to set idle at operating temp with AC on.

I have chrome and want to upgrade on a budget. What you recommend? B20vtec 240hp all motor on race gas
HTS (Honda Tuning Suite) is way better than Crome and it's currently free. From there a company called BoostedNW just listed a budget standalone ECU for about $700. After that I'd recommend Haltec, Fueltech, or Hondata.
Which brand can I use for a P0H-L02 ecu it’s from 97 Honda accord manual but I can’t find no questions or solutions Ik it’s obd2 but I could just use a jumper harness idk if I could use s300 or can I ?
You are going to need a OBD1 ECU, can use a jumper harness for going obd2a to obd1.
