I got a 1987 honda accord lx A20A3 engine carburated...i just want to know how to fix it up a bit so i can drive it out of town....how can i make it a bit faster...all i need is a new trans or rebuild and a carburetor bottom plate and she's good...

Thank you! I would start with a leak down test, could be a valve seal or ring.

I have a 1987 prelude 2.0 si and am wanting to build it up . Its a race car has to stay Naturally aspirated what do you recommend to get extra hp. Please help!

Convert to OBD1 for tuning capabilities, modified B16/B18 non vtec/B18typeR intake manifold with a larger B series throttle Body and or injectors of your choice, custom headers or swap the oem 4-1 to 4-2-1, 2.5" custom catback exhaust, Delta 272 grind camshaft (or any other grind that works for your needs), head work for better flow, bore the block to 84mm to run B20(crv) pistons and B18(ls) connecting rods or have custom made pistons, E85 fuel if available, and depending on what kind of racing you're doing regear the transmission with shorter 1st gen Integra gears and final drive. I have multiple videos that go in depth with all this.

Didn't you use a different intake on your car? Not a B Series . Is B series easier? I remember it took cutting and drilling to make it fit.

I used a B16 intake manifold modified to fit. The modification isn't really that bad if you have the right tools.

Have you adjusted the cable? Does your clutch pedal feel stiff or loose when you press it down?

@@aziangarage I set it and the pedal is normal but the speed changes hardly The reason is in the position of the cable in the motor, I don't know how to adjust it

Where the cable meets the clutch lever you should be able to turn the knob clockwise to tighten it. When you say "speed" do you mean like the car just revs but doesn't increase in speed? If so your clutch itself could be done for.

@@aziangarage I mean, I find it very difficult to switch gears despite changing the mechanics, but the problem is with the cable. How should it be positioned in the engine? And how exactly is it installed in this car? Does the length of the cable affect that? For your information, the car used to have an automatic gearbox and was replaced with a manual gearbox.
