2005 Cadillac Escalade Replacing Upper Control Arm and Lower Ball Joint With TRQ Parts

Here we are working on the Cadillac Escalade I got my son for a Christmas present. Today we install the upper control arm and lower ball joint. We bought the 13 part TRQ kit from 1A Auto to try them out and see if the parts will last.
This video was made as a demonstration on how to repair things and should not be done with out the proper training and safety equipment. What a walk in the park..... my upper bolts were 100% seized..... I had to cut everything up to get them out, using both a sawzall with carbide metal cutting blade as well as my 4 1/2 angle grinder with a cutting blade. Took many, many hours of trial and error. Even tried heating with mapp gas. A cutting torch would have been the preferable method, but I'm not a welder......

We were lucky that none of the bolts were seized. You must live in the north where that use a lot of salt on the roads in the winter. Thanks for watching

Is it a lot harder to go ahead and replace the lower arms as well? Or easier to press the bottoms out?

I think its easier to replace the ball joint because the you don't have to get the torsion bar out that is jammed in the lower control arm. Thanks for watching
At what angle should the caster camber regulators be on top control arm

If you still have the plastic inserts that came in it with I would put them back in. Then get it realigned.
How was the ride after replacement? I don’t know which brand to go with

No different that the stock parts.
