GM has been using this same stupid hub design for years. You think they would at least give you enough room to get on the hub bolts.

Never use extension if you want torque on impact

I had to swap front differential out and i still hear grinding from the wheel area. Idk if the garage used the old bearings in the differential but it sounds like its coming from the wheel. No play in the wheel but when i jack it up the bearing is chirping bad. I hope this solves it.

I'm about to upload the video of what was hanging out of the bearing. Looks like a string of metal. I ran out of daylight before I could break the hub loose. Mine is doing the same thing yours did but i don't have a torch.
