Thanks for your video. I have a 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0. Service department wanted over $500.00 to replace leaking high pressure power steering hose to pass state safety inspection. I was like....no way. Hose cost me $69.00, fluid cost $22.00 combined with your video instruction and some of my hard work I will complete the job this weekend. Thanks!

My daughter’s 2006 has been leaking at the rack only, where both hoses connect and get bolted down by the collar, it’s wet and dripping. I took off both hoses expecting to find at least a bad captive o-ring, but both appear to be in good condition, no Knicks, nothing. I haven’t been able to find the o-rings by themselves to replace and would rather not replace the lines if I don’t have to because they’re in great shape. The question is, if nothing wrong with either line or o-ring, could something internal in the rack be causing it to leak past the o-rings and collar? The other lines connected to the rack are dry as can be, it’s just both power steering lines that are wet at the connection to the rack. Thanks for the video and especially if you take time to reply to this! 🤝

2010 ford mustang 4.0 having electrical problems with my car. And obd code p430 catalytic something and large air leak (any insight on how to go about troubleshooting this would be appreciated) Anyways, I just changed my oil. And I noticed the power steering fluid was BLACK & THICK. And I mean BLACK & THICK. So I sectioned it out (but not all of it because I'm not sure what I am doing and didn't want to introduce air into the system. But I suck most that was in the reservoir and replaced it with power steering fluid from O'Reilly (don't remember brand) approximately ¼-½ quart. Btw. Ive not had any problems wih the power steering, so now I'm thinking I shouldn't of messed with it. I haven't test drove it yet. But wanted to get some insight.

Hello. You should be ok with the power steering fluid that you replaced. As far as the code P0430 it’s for a bank 2 catalytic. I would be hard to test with out scan tools and lab scope. It could mean the cat is bad or the Oxygen sensor’s are bad. May need to take to a shop for help. Hope this helped. Thank you for watching.
