Idk…besides the sub frame cracking…I haven’t had any issues with it, had the car since 20k now at 101k. This is probably the most reliable bmw i owned.

The E46 3-Series suffered from a design flaw in which the mounting points for the rear subframe would crack or tear over time, causing some serious damage to the chassis if left untreated. If, for whatever reason, you’re interested in buying an M3 with the SMG transmission, know that the pump that actuates the gear changes is known to fail, and costs a lot of money to replace. Not so great bro.
Omg... No silly pops and bangs, no DSG farts - only pure naturally aspirated R6. Just wonderful!

@@JG-ge3ui you're wrong. its possible to disable every artifical pop/bang even in sport plus mode. These pops and bangs are cause because of the software not because of the transmission. There are several pop/bang patterns based on the mode you are using. After disabling these "sounds" will only happen very rarely (when its "natural").

E36 and e46 M3’s are the best M cars. No nonsense, no fancy crap, just pure engine and pure car. The pure essence of driving before everything got fitted with electronic crap. If you’ve ever owned or driven one of these, you’ll know….

Bought my coupe E46 M3 on a wim, absolutely love it now - contrary to popular opinion I think the SMG kicks ass, gives the car so much more character (and diff clunks!)

Best looking 3 series imo. It's aged so well. This one looks to be in pretty good nick as well. Only hated the subframe cracking issue.
Nice unit, it's on inmaculate condition and full of extras. I had one '04 lci unit for almost 10 years and never had an issue with the engine, awesome and reliable car if you take care of it how its deserve.
The induction noise this engine produces is just pure 😍

Did you hear the exhaust? Just a PURE, 6-cylinder, inline engine. NO POPS, NO USELESS BANGS, NO DAMN RGB lights, and artificial sound generators. Someday, we will start hating on cars and I am sure that will come since they will take out everything we love in cars - their sound, their mechanical clusters. Let's show our love, before starting on hating them because of the changes coming.

I always wanted to own a BMW and when I could afford one, after the test drive I was so disheartened at the poor build quality of the 2021 models it made me feel sick. We had an 01 3 series growing up and it was a tank, just fantastic.
The growl at 3-4k gives me chills
This sounds so good, wow! I feel like my BMW M2 is the spiritual successor of this car.

Even from video you can feel how that S54 can breath, not like modern engines with OPF and other shit.
I had one of the first E46 M3's when they came out. It did 0-60 in 4.6 seconds with ease. The video showed 5.2 seconds but that is far from correct. It was tested multiple times. Hundreds of times to be honest. Always had great control. The DSC was perfect. Redline over 8 grand came in an instant. Such a fun car to drive. Performed excellently when driven hard and was the best everyday driver...

Man 5.2 seconds is from 0-100 km/h. 60 mph are not 100 km/h.

@@AutoTopnl 0-100 test is also bullshit I think. I am always much more interested in a 60-maximum rpm pull in 2nd or 3rd gear, because that really represents both the acceleration and speed range in real life.

My childhood dream car! My Mother owned a E46 M3 and then my big brother drove it. Sadly he sold it when i was a kid :( Still remember the day he sold it to a couple i was crying that day. I could have bought a good one instead of my Supra but a car like that should go to people who know how to keep it running.

Eventuri is good only there is no dust in air, i installed it and after 300km all intake was in dust, so i installed csl intake, there is dust only after 3000-5000 km and it is less then from eventuri, also sound is much aggressive, and no maf, only map
Anyone know if this intake adds any hp? The sound is great
