I don't know why people used that method. A sand or gravel block, TNT and flint and steel, or a pressure plate or button on the sand block is enough.

People use the redstone block/torch method because it's obvious and more well-known. Only using one sand block is easier but most would assume it wouldn't explode blocks because it looks like the TNT would just phase out of the block. I didn't even know it was possible until this video

6:12 Did this on a minecraft 1.18.1 server If you place a soul sand block, wear soul speed boots, crouch and move on it until you get the effect, and then bridge with normal blocks while still crouching, you keep your speed, allowing for some really quick bridging without the risk of falling w/ speed bridging.

Another block that people dont use enough is scaffolding, it can be used to send redstone signals upwards and allows entities to go upwards through it but not downwards, this is helpful for guardian farms. It also prevents entity cramming, same with ladders and vines

Redstone and redstone block is awesome, slime and honey blocks, target blocks, and so much more it just depend on your gameplay. I imagine of i were a builder i would love slabs and random blocks like grindstones and other job blocks. For a normal player (not perticularly good at anything) blocks like logs (like come on nothing can happened without logs) and items like water bucket and torches and elytra would be very useful

Can we talk about how useful doors are?(PS- as a Java player I don't know much about bedrock edition) It's quite the lengthy paragraph lol 1. You can use them for their intended purpose, a door to keep most mobs out and let players in to your house, although zombies, zombie pigmen and drowned can break wooden ones, so try to seal the nether room of your base with an iron one 2. underwater caving...like it's amazing how easy underwater caving is with a door, you can breathe infinitely, mine as fast as you are on the surface, and can be placed almost anywhere. 2.5 for underwater nether potals, using doors you can make a nether portal underwater, I don't have any practice but it seems a little hard haha, and requires many doors 3 to survive inside lava, yes inside lava I'm not even joking. in the nether If you have decent armor and couple of gapples, if you accidentally fell in lava, you can keep holding sneak and place a door under the lavalake, descent onto the airgap, and hopefully you survive the fireticks :) and to get out you can simply spam doors under you and mine under the lava (Although doors catch fire from lava the door itself doesn't burn, so technically you can stay under lava, and if you do die from fireticks the items that were protected by the door won't burn, and you got 5 minutes after loading the chunks in the nether to retrieve your items...also I think dream did this in a manhunt if I remember) 4. For earlier versions of MC you can use doors to trick the villagers into thinking they have a home, and with enough beds you can breed them, this is how most villager farms were built on 5. Apparently there's a way to make a boat/minecart transport system with doors Here's what the wiki said "A door can be used as a switchable barrier to entity movement. Although primarily used to block movement by mobs and players, a door can also be used to control the movement of boats (for example, a door placed in a two-wide water flow stops a boat when perpendicular to the flow, but allow it to move again when parallel), items and minecarts (a door can stop a falling item or minecart, then allow it to drop again when the door moves), etc." 6. With iron doors hooked up to a repeater circuit you can make some nice sounds lol 7. It's a great aesthetic block too, i mean who doesn't love a double door to their house? Honestly doors are an underrated block!

I think you should make a video elaborating on the chest item-alignment bit. Sounds super interesting..

it is really simple actually tho. the chest lets the item be on to blocks at once because it's hitbox is smaller than one block.

The main reason probably is because of hit boxes. Items have random paths when they fall or slide. By using the chests, it can align them with the hit boxes of hoppers. If you try to push items over ice for the item sorter, some items don't get picked up due to not interacting with the hoppers. So the solution is to bounce them off the chests which aligns the items towards the edge and in turn gets picked up by hoppers.

@@aldreenbautista2375 Oh gosh, I'm so embarrassed, I thought they meant that the chest could somehow help sort items from each other? Like, as if different items had different hitboxes.. smh, thanks for clarifying

@@clarethecat5199 yes, there is no problem with different items going together. What matters is that they interact with the hit boxes of the hoppers that are supposed to collect them!
