It is rarer yes. But deepslate emeralds are more common in mountain biomes than deepslate coal is in the biomes it spawns in

Yep. Iv got 12 pieces of deepslate coal but only 2 pieces of deepslate emerald

@@selimdraman107 ye i am a little disappointed in the emeralds department but the ancient debris is justified cuz they did mine a 1000 of those in a previous video

Pro mining tip: The stripmine method he uses with the mining on the sides thing is not the best as you can get more diamonds when you use swift sneak and crawl in a straight line just above bedrock level. because 1. you dont have to change the direction you are looking at, saving you time and 2. is that you mine at a lower Y level which means you will expose more diamonds. 3. on top of that you only mine in a 1x1 area instead of the 2x1 area with 1x1 holes on the side. so you reveal more blocks for each block you mine. withouth swift sneak this is slower because you will mine blocks faster than you can crawl.

Its more efficient for everything except emeralds as they usually generate as lone blocks and not 2-3 block clusters

@@conspiracy_marine9238 Every 3rd block exposes every block in the mountain, so that's not an issue. I think you misunderstand "every 3rd block" as "with 3 block spacing" which are not the same.

You should test how long it takes to mine 1000 Ironore in one of the Gigant iron veins. Same with copper.

Collecting Lapis by mining is by far easier than gold. Because A Lapis ore gives multiple Lapis

Now do 10,000 of EVERY Ore.

I feel like mining method for the emerald ore would make for a good video on the survival series. Mining a mountain like you did but rebuilding it a couple blocks away, like an offset/alternating mountain or split cake slices.

its probably coz he decided to do stripmine, lapis don't generate exposed to air at y -64 to 64

Fun fact: The rarest ore in the game is deepslate coal because the y level where deepslate starts is the y level where coal generation ends.

Btw, for coal ore, mining up a very tall mountains biome is probably the better way. It’s all exposed, and you can just walk around the mountain from the lowest spawning point to the top.
