  • @hugoberg9077

    @hugoberg9077

    🤦‍♂️for an "absolutely incredible xp farm" you would have to use something else than guardians. There is a cap for how many xp orbs you can absorb per tick, meaning bigger orbs = more xp potential. With guardians you would only need a very small farm to hit the cap, so this ain't any better than other farms. Xp way it's a complete waste.

    2 dimensional farms are always fast and fun to see, also pretty simple in principle. Guess I should have tried that as well when building mine, instead of turning the entire place into bubble columns while slurping all the underwater breathing and invisibility potions possible, and navigating the guardinas into a dropshute on top of it all. Than again, I didn't have to mine out multiple obsidian towers in the end to get the materials for the one I built, so I guess I sacrifice efficiency and simplicity for time it took to build it.

    I recently built a guardian farm on a private smp server. The design was from ianxofour, and it doesn’t require any draining. But it’s supposed to produce 90k drops/hr (haven’t tested this because I mostly use it for xp) and it only covers about 1/8 of the monument’s area. I think if it could be scaled up, that farm could push close to 1M drops/hr and be much easier to build.

    It's limited by the guardian spawns spaces that's NOT draining inside the temple, among other issues. It is NOT going to scale nearly that high. See Gnembom's video about the Guardian Mosh Pit, he goes into a lot of details on WHY.
