for anyone surprised by the nether results, luckily ancient debris is way more common than that because there happen to be 1-3 pieces of ancient debris per chunk in each layer of the nether but they mined in a straight line so the chances of getting the ancient debris were about 1/16 for each chunk they mined

But also keep in mind that not all debris is at y16 and one would be missing alot even if you had a 16 wide tunnel somehow, because there is usually some random netherite at y110

Spending an hour of your life only mining it gives you only 18 debris. It is not much.

Yeah did about 4000 blocks straight and I got around 20 ancient debris. But I checked all of the surroundings to make sure I didn't miss any, unlike them. It was enough to upgrade all of my equipment to Netherite which was my goal in the first place so I was happy with it. Mining in the nether is actually MUCH easier than overworld.

I have a tunnel in the nether I have been working on in a realm that is over 200K blocks long currently. Also rail has been laid for about 75% of the way so far. Had to build an iron farm/trading hall to farm the iron for rails and 2 gold farms along the way to mend all my pickaxes. Been working on it for months...........

200k TNT for each tunnel in total 400k (not counting the End) would be just over 31k STACKS of gunpowder and exactly 25k STACKS of sand...that's 580 double chests of gunpowder and 460 double chests of sand. Even with their MEGA gunpowder farm producing 160k gunpowder each hour, would take half a day just to get that, and another 22 hours to get enough sand with their sand dupers..and then there's also the crafting and placing them.. I'd say all this would take at least a week to set up..and then the time it takes to blow up and to then look through the holes for valuables could take another day or so..

@@InterestingMC no it was just normal deepslate - and they didnt break the challenge because technically you could argue they placed the block to stop lava from slowing them down as much - so they could get closer to said lava and block it off faster overall

How many of those were directly in the 1x2 tunnel vs seeing some in the wall and digging out the lode? It looks like a lot came from digging out to the side to follow lodes.

“But what if you run into a lava pool bigger than your mom” I just looked up the biggest Minecraft lava pool ever discovered and even my Mother is bigger than that, so that’s not an issue.

When you were at the coords 1000, that means you mined 2000 blocks since you were mining 2 blocks a time. So you only had to mine till z-50000.

Just a recommendation back up four blocks when you mine, you get a faster time of breaking blocks.
