The 2019 stone-off/last man standing was absolute horseshit. TWO athletes got screwed: Novikov and Caron. Novikov deserved to be in the final and Caron should have been declared the winner after he lifted the stone ONCE and Kevin Faires couldn't lift it. Instead, for TV, they grabbed the Norwegian guy and had him face Caron, who then had to lift the stone again, using up valuable energy, even though he'd already won...

I'd be interested to know if any athlete has done the stone off and then gone on to win? I would bet not.

Number one fact for me is that it doesn't stream live. Because of this I could really care less about the show. Come on Wsm get with the times

Was 1997 the worst WSM of the last 10+ years when the final featured none of the top Strongmen who had dominated the competition and the sport throughout the 90's? No Magnus Ver Magnusson, Rikku Kiri, Gerrit Badenhorst, Gary Taylor or Manfred Hoeberl. You ended up with a solid fight to the finish between Jouko Ahola and Flemming Rasmussen, not to mention a competition stand in appearance by none other than a very young Colin Bryce. Give it a shot and you might be surprised.

Tbf mitch has won 4/5 of the last major shows in a row. He is clearly the favourite. That doesn't mean Tom can't win though, as the events are excellent for him in the final

WSM should pay you guys to do this. Seriously, the only.interesting thing remaining from outdated WSM is this channel. Arnolds, Shaw, Rogues all have surpassed WSM.
