Napoleon Hill (October 26, 1883 - November 8, 1970) was an American self-help author. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".

The old way is ‘self help’ individualism, can you see a problem with individualism? How many true friends can you depend on in a divorce economy? Sure we can bless the nature we exist ‘under’ and learn our destruction of nature, requires repair more than a pay cheque to ignore it.

    1. Adjust yourself to other people's state of mind & difficulties. 2. Condition your mind at the beginning of each day - you will keep it positive under all circumstances. 3. Do not permit yourself to be drawn into arguments over unimportant subjects. 4. Have a good-hearted laugh every time you become irritated or angry. 5. Start each day with an expression of gratitude for all adversities, defeats & failures you have experienced. 6. Concentrate your attention on the can-do portion of your problems & desires. 7. Learn to transmute all unpleasant circumstances into immediate action. 8. Your strength grows out of your struggles. 9. Look upon your life as a continuous process of learning from your experiences good & bad. 10. Work on self-improvement which will make you more open-minded, patient and generous in your relations with others. 11. Express gratitude twice daily - you have complete control over your own mind. 12. Go out of your way to comment enthusiastically on people's good qualities. 13. Consider what others say of you, but know yourself. 14. Do not accept what you do not desire. 15. Worry does no good unless you can do something about it - then you take action. 16. Keep your mind eternally engaged in thinking of that which you desire most. 17. Help someone who is worse off than yourself. 18. Emulate those you admire. 19. Cultivate your tone of voice. Great tips here --> kzread.info/dash/bejne/damVu5aqlZe8Y5c.htmlsi=TRRu4VDzdpH3JV9u 20. Whatever the mind can conceive & believe, the mind can achieve. 21. Ah yes, Napoleon Hill. I discovered him in the 80s through an older friend (RIP) who had been the top salesman in a life insurance company and became my best friend and mentor. When I met my friend he had started a successful homebuilding company which was his dream and passion. He had studied what he called PMA, positive mental attitude. He had a rather lengthy spiel of PMA sayings accumulated from several writers and speakers he would repeat. I then wrote down my goals, dreams, hopes and began repeating them on my way to work each morning. My list expanded, refined, and changed over time. I kept reading and repeating and also praying to connect to the spiritual. Over the years all my core dreams came true. It was the focus, persistence, and discipline that ultimately worked. And one other thing, learning especially from my mentor, was to get along with people and assisting them with reaching their goals. He was a master of that. From Napoleon Hill I learned persistence especially. As another friend and important mentor said, "If you're going to pray for potatoes you better have a hoe in your hand".

One of the reasons for making this channel is to inspire people as I am so tired of seeing so many people stuck in a career or endeavor just to survive or meet others’ expectations of them because I’ve been there. That’s security but doesn’t necessarily mean true happiness and even when materialistic pursuits can make them comfortable, that doesn’t necessarily mean not being trapped in a hedonic treadmill to keep that going. I can go on and on about why it’s important to do our best to live each day to the fullest whatever that means for us because it’s so easy to get lost in this world with full of traps but it’s fully up to us how to navigate through it while we still have the time to fully live if we choose to.

heavyy on the gratitude!! even just listing a few things you're grateful for each morning wires your brain to seek out the positives in your life. if i'm ever feeling low or facing some kind of challenge, if i can remind myself to give gratitude for whatever the situation is teaching me i immediately feel better (or at the very least my perspective shifts!). it's such a powerful practice.

@@spiracle-imagesat some point from a belief perspective the two must be merged. One must go beyond light and dark, positive and negative. Ram Dass is a good place to go to in an effort in trying to understand what this looks like, feels like and sounds like.. just sitting in your ‘is’ ness. Saying ‘I Am’ instead of ‘I am ___’. Everything is perfect because everything is imperfect. There is no working definition of perfection, just like there is no definition of good or evil or light and dark. It all breaks down to action and consequence. You could say ‘good’ is beneficial actions to a group, but you may not yet understand the consequences of your actions, and they may cause ‘bad’ for another group down the line. It is nearly impossible to truly KNOW in the moment.

This was nice. Thank you, After Skool. If you didn't enjoy Napoleon Hills' way of positive thinking. Just try listening to someone else. I dont understand how i saw a video on the power of positive thinking and so negative Nancy's start throwing mud.

When you reach rare levels of positivity, also learn to keep it down. In a fearful world negative people might become hostile towards you in weird ways. This way you can protect your positivity, "don't cast your pearls before swine" 😇

I wrote a Children’s book which I review and read often to help my mind 😂. It’s called I’M SOMEBUNNY SPECIAL - Lovey Bunny’s Epic Journey. And I also made an activity book to reinforce the message in and retrain my mind and thinking ❤.

This is a treasure trove of practical advice! I particularly resonated with point #13 about accepting criticism as an opportunity for self-improvement. It's easy to get defensive when someone points out our flaws, but as the speaker says, it can be a valuable chance to learn and grow. I remember a time when a colleague criticized my communication style, saying I came across as too blunt sometimes. It stung at first, but I took a step back and realized they had a point. I started incorporating more softening phrases and actively listening more, and it definitely improved my relationships at work.
