Maxine C I believe you, I lived with my cousins for a while, it was like a Fresh Prince of Bel Aire experience! Everyone had nice homes and cars, even white picket fences but all of course had their demons, crimes, pending cases and rumors! It was the same as being in the ghetto, just no fights in the middle of the street 😂

@frost, yes, and that very high and atypical for attempted murder. I would be he got more the the damage he did to her then the actual 'murder attempt'. Wrong.

Thank god the mother ran for help! I know a lot of ppl, myself included would have stayed, not wanting to leave her daughter, but this could have been even worse.

growing up in the ghetto i seen a girls neck sliced open a baby in a freezer a missing man found cut up and killed a baby beat to death gang fights a prostitute house normal everyday fights car races dog fights and almost everyday kids kicking/throwing stray cats and a man who killed his gf and 2 daughters shootings all the time all within 2 blocks of my house (and so much more) once i moved and started living in a nice area the most iv seen is a random person speeding or angry old people my point is only 2 stories i can think of in the bad neighborhood ever got any type of news time like this or big media but ill read stuff in the neighborhood page about the speeding and in local news about little things in our nicer town

It's for television, dear. They're looking for people who show up well on camera, whose stories are compelling, who are well spoken, and who can arouse sympathy. Wealthy people don't have a monopoly on any of these things, but affluence probably makes it more likely. However, don't blame the "they" who don't show the underprivileged folks--blame the viewing public who wants the "homeowners in fancy neighborhoods."

This is exactly why I say EVERY law abiding citizen of age should own a gun AND have a concealed carry permit. If the mom in this story would have been armed with a gun, the bad guy would have brought a shovel and a knife to a gun fight. And he would have lost badly.

My goodness, thank the lord the mother arrived home at the time she did, seconds later he could have hit her a few more times and her daughter may not have lived. All it would have taken is a 30 second longer wait at a red light, anything. I’m so glad she survived.
