@@grimreality451 Yeah for someone whos the same age as me he has great consistency where most teenagers would struggle when going up against people a lot older and more experienced than themselves, I think that's part of the reason they will put him on a relay team, inconsistency is a huge problem with young athletes participating in events like the olympics but he seems to have that under control.

Man, just think; dude's not even fully grown or developed yet, and he's hanging with these pros like that? He'll hit a growth spurt for sure, he'll get even stronger, and then what? Sky's the limit for this kid! I love his attitude in the interviews as well, the moment doesn't seem to big for him, he's taking these races in stride. And for everyone talking about his form? Abby Steiner has one of the most wild running forms in track and field right now, and she seems to be doing fine. I say don't fix what isn't broken, and see where he's at when that aforementioned growth spurt and development (aka puberty) hits. And lets not gloss over Christian Miller getting 5th in that 100m final as a high schooler, and clocking under 10 seconds! The future of USATF sprinting is looking bright!

He might break his U18 WR again with something like 44.5 - but its doubtful he makes the team. But - maybe in the mixed 4x400m relay? He could well find his way onto that team. He should eventually, maybe, move up to the 800, tho - even the 1500 with those impressive 600m times - and they're indoors. Also because he seems a bit short.

@ccbgaming6994 Why not? If he can build the endurance, he already has long range, extended speed over 600m. But he would have to alter his training goals, obviously - but Sebastian Coe, for example, had a 10.4 100 time, and sub 45 400. Said Aouita - El Gherrouj...all these guys had excellent sprint capabilities. All I'm saying is that the kid might have a ceiling because of his height in the 400 - and IF that occurred, he had options.

This is the problem with medias to get excited with this young guy like they did before with boling as an example. It didn’t materialise.thats the problem. Let him alone and grow up slowing first

if his legs grow another 2 inches, he would destroy the field. If his strength, height increases while keeping the same body ratio, he would just dominate.

I am asking myself often if the light weight boys/girls and not grown men and women just have advantages?! In figure skating it is definitely a topic that 12-13 yo are in some cases better.

Great kid with an outstanding future in track and field no doubt; however he has reached his physical limit and the much stronger men of the field will show this quite clearly. I have him coming in 5th place or lower in the finals. His time is not yet to come.

Impressive performance, but he stands at only 5'9" tall and unless he grows a couple of inches taller, he won't reach the very top. Most of the 400m greats like Steven Gardiner, Butch Reynolds and Alberto Juantorena stood at 6'3" - 6'4". Michael Johnson and Wayde are a bit shorter but still over 6 foot.

Why is the time written like that? It seems inaccurate e.g 44.91, 44.68... arent seconds made up of 60 milliseconds, hence 44.91 is just 45.31???
