    I started with a 10 min. walk after breakfast yesterday. Again today, and adding an after lunch walk. Feels good, and its interesting to see the neighborhood at different times of day. Tomorrow I’ll try walking after all three meals. Thank you. Before your video I only saw videos by young people advising an hour walk (I’m 77, and even though I’m retired I don’t want to take up that much time after each meal (especially in inclement weather!).

    Its not that one should walk 1 hour after every meal, total walking time in a day should be 1 hour ,i.e. 1/2 hour in the morning & 1/2 hour in the evening, likewise you can split your walking time suitable for yourself.

    Looks like I’ll be going for more walks, then. I usually go first thing in the morning when it’s cooler outside. So, I guess I will go for a few minutes after each meal. Hopefully that will help lower my blood sugar. Thanks for the tip.

    I would say, not right after but about 20 to 30 minutes after eating. The blood goes to the digestive system when we eat and need to stay there for some time.Then it goes to the muscles and then the liver.

    I work in a very busy kitchen, most of us eat whilst standing / whilst on the go, so I guess walking specifically is not needed vs eating sitting down and then to remain seated afterwards. What about if you do weights as an example in a fasted state, surely the muscles would be primed to soak up any glucose like a sponge? Cheers.

    And fasting and eating fewer carbs less often can reverse type altogether! I’m not saying don’t walk, but add fasting and stop eating the carbs, especially the processed ones. If you can’t get out to walk, you can also do seated calf raises that pinpoint the proper calf muscle.

    This video may appeal to overweight couch potatoes who watch tv or play video games a lot, and get zero exercise. I get more than two minutes of walking in just going from the parking garage to my desk at work every day. I do 45 minutes of cardio every day. Even that wouldn't guarantee weight loss, in the event that I had continued to overeat. Let's say, 4000 calories a day. it's probably over 3000.

    @dan-qe1tb

    @@danielhoward4566 This video doesn't appeal to this prediabetic, as it's a complex, multifactorial health condition. Though at the tactical level, some people may see a small drop in their post prandial glucose, few people will lose any weight walking for two minutes after a meal, or see any improvement in their biomarkers. You have to do at least thirty minutes a day of exercise to see any meaningful change. An hour's even better if they have time. At the population level, weight loss makes a big difference, as excess adipose tissue and insulin resistance go together. You could exercise a lot and still not be able to accomplish that. My liver makes a bit more glucose than my pancreas can handle, all the time.
