2 Day Bushcraft Camp in a Tipi Shelter - Woodstove, Deer Hides, Axe (Camp Craft)

Ойын-сауық

Join me on a 2 day bushcraft camp with Dustin and his Dog. We build a tipi shelter, cook on a woodstove and sleep on deer hides with a wool blanket. We make a large tipi tarp shelter and use debris on top to keep the shelter warm and wind resistant. We then do some camp craft, build a pot hanger and open fire. At night we cook sea food on the woodstove and use the axe to chop firewood. Dustin shows some basic bushcraft skills and shows you some recipes for cooking on a woodstove. The next morning we make coffee and cook up breakfast on the open camp fire. Come and join us on this adventure!

That looked like a great, gourmet trip guys! Likely it wasn't cold enough to have been uncomfortable in the morning, but a good trick when camping with a stove is to heat all the water you have with you, and to put stones on and around the stove itself before turning in. They act as sort of "thermal batteries", storing up heat and releasing it slower than just the stove would, so the warmth lasts longer. Plus the added bonus that your water is much less likely to freeze overnight, so you can get that first brew-up in you sooner!

Idea, use good quality tarp's and place brass eyelet's along the edge's and a few through the center. Then make plastic washer's with a water seal on one side with a plastic loop that can fit through the brass eyelet's in the center hole's on the tarp's and use bungi core's to connect the two side's of the tarp's. Make an A frame support structure. Then use paracord and thread the brass eyelet's to form a bag. Slowly fill bag with plant vegetation or dirt to the top with the center hole's being supported by the plastic washer's. Then place another filled tarp bag over the crest. You can cut tarp's and make tarp bag's to fit the back panel with a protective insert for a chimney pipe. Then one for the front pannel were you can pound a timber into the ground to support the A frame and use paracord to attach the tarp bag to one side then just lash some timber's together and use paracord to attach front door to your tarp bag shelter system. Ounce shelter is no longer needed just empty out all the tarp bag's fold up the tarp's and stow them to be used when you need's another shelter? 😊

You should always take care of your animals first! See that they are dry and comfortable and fed before you tuck in! And with Amber one of the crew - you should have some tidbits set aside so she can have a nib along with you!
