The Bicycle Hotel and Casino had been hosting the annual WPT festival all week, and the Legends of Poker Main Event was a 7-day affair which saw 763 hopefuls battling it out for one of the most prestigious titles on the WPT roster, the $3700 buy-in giving a total prize-fund of $2,738,407.

Everyone always pokes fun at Phil, and I understand why. However, it's still awesome that after all the decades he's played he still gets just as excited about it all. I think he's gone through fatigue, but has maintained his passion.

Yes he is surely missed by everyone that loved watching the WPT on TV way back when. He and VanPatton’s banter made for an enjoyfull play by play. The replacement is boring AF.
Watching Hellmuth dead bet opposite a straight is just so wonderful and then to lose with the strong pocket is dreamy.

Phil deserved to lose after that disaster call at 25:40. There was about 20 possible hands better than his 5's, Art was calling/betting on each turn which is a sign of strength, and Phil still calls. Once again... Phil falls victim to the camera.

You can’t deny how far he gets in tournaments and how many times he’s in the money. Easy to sit here and watch highlights and jump on the bandwagon like you’ve got any real skill or knowledge. Probably couldn’t bluff a hand past your 12 year old nephew, you have no credibility. I don’t really like Phil, but get a thought of your own there guy

He doesn’t think he is best, he KNOWS he is the best - as does the great majority of the poker community. He is the consensus GOAT in tournament poker for a reason, boy. You can criticise him for antics, you can criticise him for his outbursts, but you cannot argue against his results.

the mistake he made was calling the river bet with only 55. He had to suspect he was beat at that point after his flop and turn bets both got called. Checking also protects his showdown value. Finally, if he was really going to call anyway, he should have put a small blocker bet out like 1 million and saved himself some chips as he clearly cannot call a river raise.
I remember seeing art on live at the bike. With their Webcam quality cameras 😂
That was satisfying. We all won here today.
Just imagine had PH not folded the A6 suited in the first potential 3 way hand And not played 55 like a betting /calling station, only himself to blame

One thing I have learned recently about cryptocurrency is to remain calm, especially when it comes to Bitcoin. Learn not to sell in a panic when everything goes down and not to buy in euphoria when everything goes up. I advise y'all to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses.The market is not predictable and you can not tell if it's going bearish or bullish.While myself and others are trading without fear of making a loss others are being patient waiting for the price to skyrocket. Phil is not always said to be the best poker player, but more so than others, he's the reason the sport draws so much attention. He should get paid a sitting down fee, and bonuses for every hour he stays in a tournament. I can only think of Negreanu and Ivey I'd rather watch play.
