Honestly man you have seriously helped me in my basketball journey. You've been my coach and you've helped me improve my game. I've applied everything you've teached in my training and at school, and now I've joined a basketball team, hoping to get better and better. Keep inspiring and teaching other people!
All my favorite moves started on this YT channel man. It means a lot for us basketball fans.

Haha pretty sure I got everybody w/ dat. Anybody who is spotting that pass watching for the 1st time got a Steve Nash level passing vision & creativity.
Love your videos man,the way you teach and explain moves in detail,is so underrated.
Great video as always! Like you mentioned at the end, there's endless possiblilities with this sizeup. This was the first sizeup I learned and u can really put your own creativity into it. There's thousands of sizups u can study on YT by simply just watching and seeing how they handle the ball with their footwork.
Fear the beard. I love how you are showing love to James Harden ❤. Thank you
Amazing. Well edited and right to the point.

I like how you include Friga in your clips! I watch and like him too. Hes clearly well studied!
I love the bore your defender part bc my friend was talking about how my sizeup is so boring and I told him that's the point and explained it to him.
Thank you coach!
you the best coach man
You make some of the best skills/moves videos.
This videos are great tool to enhance and improve basketball performance thank you so much for making them. If you can do a “things we can learn from Jordan Poole” like the one you did from Jimmy Butler, it would be pretty awesome! Thanks in advance Coach! i think some people struggle w bringing the ball up and making a move past half court like me. can you make a vid on it? thx
you made me a better dribbiler and finisher and my height is 5 foot 1
Hey coach i saw u said that straight hooping is way better than skills training, and i agree i have gotten a lot better with 1v1s and stuff. But my shooting is very lack luster could you maybe do a video on shooting like the footwork of it and seperation? Also do you think it would be beneficial to practice shooting in pickup or should i maybe take some time to clean up my mechanics?
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
Yeah shooting is the exception of a skill that HAS to be repped out in isolation. I'd personally still say go play pickup even if you are working on (or changing up) your form. While getting up a ton of shots with those games of course. You'll get there if you put in the work. I've done some videos on shooting with footwork, separation and mechanics: kzread.info/head/PLKgm1MKTEsPjkg4VMDnfdegxaCX2OKaw2

Is this sizeup primarily for your strong hand and leg, ex: Right hand cross Left hand tween. Kinda like how triple threat is only done with your Right leg (dominant hand side)
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
There is no rule on that. There were 60 players in this video. 33 of them did it on their weak side, 24 on their weak side. And 2 (Lamelo and Friga) did both. So based on that sample size doing it to your strong side is more popular. It is IMO caused by which foot you feel more comfortable with in front. The foot you have a stronger lunge with in front. I got a stronger and more stable lunge w/ my left foot in front and that's why I feel more comfortable sizing up on my "weak" side.
I laugh out loud once when Bobby knight said no player on my is allowed to dribble the ball in that fashion and play for me. This is an art of deception it prevents your opponent from getting comfortable and knowing your every move obviously he was wrong
Nice soundtrack change 😅

How do you deal with more aggressive defenders? My handle is not quiet there so i have trouble when people get in my grill
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
Just gotta get a better handle, get stronger/quicker, get more experience and learn from your mistakes. And learn to use your off arm. And learn to use the closed stance. Got a video on that. Closed stance explosion or a spin opposite.

If you show the defender that you can blow right past them, they’ll start slacking back a bit more and it’s history from there, obviously there’s better ways but that’s the easiest
Hi Frikki, I have a question about how i should put the ball over my head when shooting, like how should I place it, so I can see?
@CoachFrikki

Everyone's shot is different, develop your own perfect form. But your 3 point shooting shooting form probably shouldn't be over your head. Makes it hard to generate power.

@@CoachFrikki Is it okay to have a kobe like midrange shooting form then switch to a curry like shot from beyond the arc?
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
@@dragoonfang747 Would not recommend shooting midrange shots. Kobe only shot them 41% and most of us are gonna shoot way below that. Threes and Layups ❤
@ry_an.
Жыл бұрын
@@CoachFrikki slightly disagree. If you have an inside game and are capable of taking and making midranges then you will be an unstoppable scorer. Midranges can’t be your ”game” or “go to” because you’re right they aren’t as efficient
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
@@ry_an. Sounds good in theory but when you say "taking and making" midranges are you talking about shooting it below 40%? Comparable to shooting 40% at layups or 26% from three. Which is objectively bad and will hurt your team.

That hesitation dribble is illegal in the NBA rule book. It's actually a double dribble. If I were a ref, I'd call it every time.
