Great video. I suggest expanding on this ad making a video on scoring on set defenders(when they are sagging and still). You covered that a bit in the clips but not really. Great video nonetheless.
I have said this to players and coaches for years: Always Attack. If you take an open shot, make sure it is in rhythm. Too much space in game situations can throw off internal rhythm within players as they are not accustomed to shooting in certain manners. Shots off of kick outs, ball reversals and stepbacks/pullbacks are more comfortable to shoot than sagging off shots due to players working on them more.

@SmGPreCiSioN

I have this problem too but I've gotten better at it simply just by playing more games, and with more/different ppl. Gave me a better understanding of what my actual strengths/weaknesses are. Also, I found that the more stuff I try to implement in my game too fast, the more thinking is involved. Once I found the proper pacing for new moves/strats, game is much more relaxed.

You can also do a slow shot fake, slow that you wait for the opponent to get close if he doesn't, take the shot if he get close, then drive.

What’s the difference with the Tony Parker spin?
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
Push Cross + Spin. Throw the ball in front to your other hand to bait your defender, then spin back the other way.
Definitely some travels in here. Nice try sandwiching a legal Harden euro between a couple of obvious ones lol. Once you subtly palm it, it’s still a gather. You don’t get an extra step because you’re cupping it with but one hand. That cupping is the gather step. Edit: 3:00 and 3:11
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
3:01 is not a travel.
@stolensentience
Жыл бұрын
@@CoachFrikki as I already explained, it is actually 3 steps. The gather happens sooner than you imply, as the ball was palmed. If not a travel then it’s a palming violation.

What's the difference between the spin move and the Tony Parker move?
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
Tony Parker does a push crossover into a spin move. So if you are dribbling the ball with your right you can do a normal spin move left, or a Tony Parker spin move (throw it to your left) and spin right. It gives you options to spin both ways.

You're right. This happens on almost every pro-hop. Inside foot lands a split second too early. Sad that the NBA is starting to call that now. Love seeing pro hops but they're getting extinct from the modern game.

2:25 lol no way mans put in a video of his younger self
Curses. Will be upon Your head and Your voice forever.
If you don't simply shoot when a defender is sagging off of you it means you lack confidence in your shooting abilities to just let it fly. Being able to shoot allows you to get to the basket that much easier because the defender will have to play closer on you, allowing you to blowby them easier. Obviously anyone who has ever played basketball knows this already
@CoachFrikki
Жыл бұрын
You're right. But it's also good to have blowby options in your bag. For example on fastbreaks when they sag close to the basket, and another defender behind you can contest the 3.
