    Last one doesn’t work me atleast, I always expect the worst when I shoot but at the same time being calm. When I think I am going to make the ball enter the rim every time, it just makes me miss.

    This is spot on. As a shooter myself I always visualize or take a mental picture of the shot going in the rim before shooting it. Always being shot ready is key and shooting with a quick release also works because you're getting a clear look at the rim before the contest and you're shooting without thinking too much

    Balance and shooting on the strong side of your body or where your body feels most comfortable with comfortable feet placement for your body as well as a comfortable snap on the wrist. I like to have my shooting hand directly on the middle of the ball for that back spin. Most people say square your elbows, but I believe in squaring your shoulders and being comfortable. If your body is straining with a specific shooting form then it's not the proper shooting form for that person.

    @@Adoof_3.0 That is the whole issue, expecting the worst never helps. If you know you put in the work than expect it to pay off.

    I feel like following through on your shot is a personal preference, there are many times that players in this video follow through and don't follow through. Examples 8:10 & 8:44. Sometimes players follow through on their shot based on if they simply feel like it or not, the key is fluidity.

    Hi! I’ve watched nearly all of your videos since I was in elemantary school, and you have helped me a TON with my game & most of the stuff I know comes from you. I am now averaging nearly 40 points per game in high school (probably not as impressive haha, as I’m not from the US and I’m sure American high schoolers are a lot more competitive). I’ve got a scholarship to Northwest Missouri State, a D2 college. Thank you for all you have done.

I go play with some of my co-workers every week and I always feel dumb that I can't make any of my shots, this video, and my dad, really helped me to realize anyone can become a great shooter I'd they put the effort in and work on being consistent and confident tot the point you know when the shot is going to go in. Thank you for making these videos, they have really helped me have a more positive outlook in my game in general. Keep up the great work 💯

  • @InnsuDontKim
    @InnsuDontKim Жыл бұрын

    You technically need to shoot a little differently depending on the situation. I'd recommend shooting actual game-like shots instead of just stationary jumpers: - Going left or right - shooting towards your strong hand side requires some extra rotation against that direction, since you can't fully rely on your base to be perfect at full speed (think Kyle Korver/Redick fading and turning on their catch and shoots) - Mid-range vs. 3 - The further you go out, the lower the set point and earlier the release. You can see this with most shooters, especially Trae imo

    What Steph said about shooting really resonated with me. "Focus on your feet before focusing on the hoop". The rest is just practice. And it actually work for me. The follow through came naturally and all i needed was to plant my feet solid before and after shooting. I havent played basketball in like forever but that feeling of a perfect released knowing its going in still lingers

    @@EzeAsuoha that means that the motion you make with your shooting hand loses importance when you start focusing on your off-hand. By the time the ball leaves your shooting hand, your other hand has to be completely off the ball. When you practice that synchronization your shooting percentage increases right away. I hope that helps!

    you're not weak. Slightly different variation of technique for 3s. Work on shooting no jump form shots more if you can. Try to also work on the way up not at the top of your jump. Don't overthink it though just keep shooting. Once you think too much about your mechanics you ruin fluidity. Keep hooping bro
