So, I’m not the only one that had to lower my handlebars, address the trunk lid by adjusting the pins up so the dash light would quite coming on all the time!! Added the Baja Ron sway bar, RLS exhaust, moved the floorboards and Wa-La much better riding experience!! Soooo glad you’re back in the saddle again!! Tell Tommy he looks good on a Spyder😱😬

I've already added the Baja Ron Sway bar...what else? LED headlights. Guess I need to do a mod video and show what I've done so far. When you dash light came on, was the rear cargo actually open? Because mine was actually open...Was all good on the 250 miles to home. Glad you are out riding and your ride fits you better! TommyG DOES look good on a Spyder, lol! 🤗💜😁

I use the Sena 10C EVO for audio...sometimes it's a pain to sync but it does work...we have been gifted a few external mics and need to learn to use them...so much to do and so little time...not sure how I found time to go to work previously! I think it's amazing you are able to put out videos, work and spend time with your family!

I hope it goes well! I should have included the price of my 3,000 mile service and will add it to the description but I'll go ahead and share with you, Kevin...my cost for engine oil kit, oil filter, new front rim (damaged before I took ownership), rear backseat replacement (under warranty), rear trunk latch and rubber adjusted (under warranty) handle bars lowered...$60 for labor, $144 for parts, $3 for shop supplies, plus tax for a total of $219.42. This dealership charges $100 per hour for labor and they are very, very fair.

Wow, 3,000 miles already. Good for you! Glad to see you back in the saddle racking up huge miles! Also congrats for getting Tommy G driving the other Spyder. Those quality control issues are a shame. It is hard to believe things can made it to the end of production without being caught. Like me, you have to ride hours to a service place. Glad to see you are both enjoying yourself and riding again. I am taking my Spyder to Nashville next week. Going to take in a few road trips during the week between classes. Thank you for the video!

@@PurpleOnThree it has NOT been a good trip unfortunately. I endured torrential rains, and then electrical problems. I ended up with a check engine and limp home mode for the last 1.5 hours. I have been waiting for 2 days to get into a place. Hopefully a local shop can get me fixed so I can return home. As you know, most bike shops are closed on Sun and Mon. Fingers crossed it is just related to the brake light switch (which is what the fault codes are suggesting). I have to admit it had shattered my confidence in long rides. Hopefully I will feel differently after tomorrow.

@stanweaver oh no! Stan, so sorry to hear this! I hope you can get this fixed locally. Tennessee was where we were when the old Harley broke down. I guess it can happen to anybody anytime and the best we can do is be prepared. Could happen in a car also.

@@PurpleOnThree I thought the same thing (about a car breaking down). Apparently the diagnostic had to do with the brakes, so I am waiting on a 5 hour brake flush. Apparently, spyders are overly sensitive about the health of the brake systems (probably because of all the grandparents that are riding them when we should be retired). You know brake fluid is hydrophilic and absorbs water into the lines. The spyder has a kind of a humidity sensor for the amount of water in the lines and it was sending different (than expected) brake pressures to the main computer and it didn't like getting different readings so it ultimately started shutting down speed related systems like cruise control and then finally limiting the speed to 58 miles an hour (or Limp home mode). So lesson learned get the brakes flushed every two years.

I'm thinking I only had one brake flush done on my 2018... Before we went to Alaska. Because I keep mine in a climate controlled garage, would that make a difference? Hello! My F3 has the same issue with the trunk lid not securing properly. On the oil change, are you changing it at 6500 or after another 6500?
