omg hopefully one day you can 🤞🥰😭🤭 my ~advice~ (in the loosest sense of the word) is to focus on the emotionality of the scene as well as the choreographing of the sports/action. I usually go through and figure out what happens, what beats matter, and what is the actual crescendo (in this case, who is winning important points in a match) and then I find points where pressure would be the highest, where maybe they'd take a breath, where the character would think about their family, their love interest, their life, their career, their ranking etc. and then I go back and forth to try to balance both action and emotion. (I try to do this for all action type scenes, whether it's a tennis match or a sword fight!) and yes! I love Jules and Luca in all their iterations 🥰😘 and thank you!! 🥰 good luck with your nano and jodspeed 🫡

Katie, did you just say 97k in a month? lol Girl you crazy, and I love it haha! This is a whole convo that needs to be had because I have so many MM and sapphic romances I've started and parked because there are so many mixed opinions on who should be able to publish what. Personally, I believe anyone can publish anything as long as they do their due diligence and get sensitive readers to ensure you are portraying the characters in good taste but not everyone sees my sky as blue so... Anywho, I'd look forward to your updates throughout the month to follow along with the weekly progress. I'm a Nano rebel the goal is to write 5 - 6 Romance shorts this month so far I'm on track. Fingers crossed it stays that way haha.

I did, in fact, say that! 😂 although it is more like 79.5k total since I did start in October. It is such a nuanced and difficult conversation with a lot of different opinions and ideas around it. and there is no right answer! but yes, on a whole I agree with you. unfortunately, some authors don't have that care and sometimes ruin it for the rest of us 🤷‍♀️ ooh yes! NaNo Rebel! 5-6 romance shorts sounds like fun! switching around can be so nice for the brain. hope you keep going on the right track! you're a brilliant writer so I know you're gonna kill it 🥰💖
