Great edit, well done. ...Mad dog!
As a Miami fan icing in NY, it wasn’t often that I got to here Jim Mandich call the games, was an absolute treat.
Love the videos ! Go dolphins 🐬
Loved those Puma NFL Dolphins caps
Man I miss Jim Mandich on the radio. Why did Bill Zempfer leave???

Mad dog was unlike no other. Another Mich grad and also had a great steak and brew joint called Mad dog and Ziggy's. In the keys, alamorada and A1A. Great steaks, atmosphere with dolphin memorabilia and photos of the Dolphin pefect season. Food is some of the best ever.

I was living on the East Coast of Florida during the late 90s. I remember watching this game at my buddys house as we were prepping his house for Hurricane Floyd. At one point, just hours before landfall they had it making landfall as a 5 right where I lived. The storm turned, stayed off the Florida coast and wound up inflicting damage on the mid atlantic states and the Long Island area. After I moved back to NY, i never again complained about a nor 'easter winter storm again. The worst that happens is you are stuck in the house for a day lol. I was evacuated 3 times for hurricanes and once for a fire in my 5 years in Florida...

Well you live on the coast of course you would get evacuated. Never been evacuated in 30 years here in Orlando.
I love the Broncos but even better was seeing Hank Williams Jr at the beginning of the video. "All my rowdy friends are here on Monday Night". You know he is laughing at Bud Light! lol
The first game of Dan Marino's final season. He won a player of the week award.

@@bgpeters22 TheDolphins crashed and burned - reverting to their true identity as a crappy football team who got physically dominated at the line of scrimmage and had no defense or running game. Marino, however, remained brilliant. In his last season you see him here with great footwork and elusiveness in the pocket, the best mind at reading a defense of all time, and - incredibly - the same arm he had as a rookie. Making the mediocre Tony Martin and OJ McDuffie look way better than they were with rocket armed throws, touch throws and laser-like precision. No great QB was ever less supported by his team than Dan Marino. This game was a pure anomaly in his career.

This season started so promising for the phins and Marino and like a bunch of past seasons for Marino just could never sustain this kind of play, sad man just like 92,94 and 93 season when Marino got hurt and MARINOS teams were always amongst playoff favorites and SB favorites but just never happened!!

Thought they were on their way to a big season after this win. Marino got hurt and later in the year the team just didn't seem right overall. Sad to see Dan go out the way he did in that Jacksonville playoff loss. Was sad to see the team lose like that period.

Jeez, I was at the last Fins playoff win, what was it, like 21 years ago? They have sucked so bad the last 20 years🤢
The Hurricane Floyd updates remind me of getting ready for the hurricane (which missed) and watching this game, in Sunrise, Fla , i really thought had the friction between Marino and Johnson could be worked out they could have been a Super Bowl team

Zach Thomas Jason Taylor and Dan the man...what a combination. I remember they were stacked in the mid 90s to early 2000s. They desperately need a star qb again.
Dan : I shattered all of this kid's dads' records, no way this kid's going to outperform me tonight.
Dan should've been a Steeler
Proves why he's better than John Elway.
I liked that uniform.
Trading Tony Martin was such a stupid move.Marino needed a deep threat like Tony Martin and theyd connect often so trading him was moronic made no sense.

Cool seeing these highlights of when Miami would run pass plays that consisted of more than 2 yard screens AND went beyond the first down marker. They have zero balls nowadays even with a losing record they play it safe. Run, run, pass it 5 yards short of the first down marker. Gase is an offensive genius though.
go phins love you all lol ive been a dolphin fan the day i was born 57yrs ago and i wille a fan till the day i die win or loose still booze dan marino will allways be my favorite qb no matter what i think dan was the best qb ever in the history of football even though he never won a superbowl but you cant blame dan much it was his line go phins pease out

He was done and he knew hit. His arm was shot at this point and he was having all sorts of leg issues. It was sad to see him play in the 1999 season, he only played in 11 games and struggled. HE did give us one more playoff win vs Seattle but that was it. When he came back from injury and played the final 6 games, he threw 5 TD and 12 interceptions. Three games he was under 50% completion rate and threw 5 picks in one game. Father time caught up to Danny and punched him in the mouth. I am so glad he was smart and realized he could no longer play. Damon Huard played well going 4-1 as a starter and he should have been in there at the end of the season.

@@stevep8445 WRONG. What fucked up the final 6 games and ended his career was that neck injury he sustained. Age was only a small part of it. He could have played another couple of years if it weren't for that injury.

This was so typical-Marino played a very good game just like he did in the '98 Reg. Season game against Denver. In between there was a playoff game against this same team and what happened-Dan played very bad and led his Offense to only 3 points. The story of Dan's Career in a nutshell. He could not get it done in the playoffs.

At about 20:40 thats when I have to question just how rigged the NFL is,hes literally in his face and because tony martin stopped,it ruined EVERYTHING,I mean imo it just looks BAD,I know guys miss tackles but there was absolutely zero reason to try and take an angle tackle on him, wasn't even tryin to hit em,just tackle him and somehow managed an arm and very loosely was that one arm and of course it was 3rd down and obviously I know it happens way more today, but I am goin back to older gms just to see if it was as scripted as it is now and idk we're in 99 here,so that was over 20 yrs ago,is this the NFL or the WWE??
"The dolphins clinging to a 24-14 lead" It's as if they thought cuz Denver won it the year previous that they were just gonna automatically come back.
Brian Greese was such a bust. I remember the controversy during preseason when they gave the starting job to Bubby Brister.
@TBaroody1

Not really a "bust" Look at his stats. Second year he was lights out. 102.9 rating back then impressive. I wish Miami would have given him more of a shot. Had another great year for Tampa Bay. Played 11 years. Career almost 63% passer with a respectable qb rating.
Should have went to Vikings in 98
