I check out the 993 videos periodically to look for new ones. I didn't realize that I commented earlier. This guy was impressed, but shifted at a max of 4,000 revs. The Varioram (increased valve lift and taller intake plenums) opens up at 4500 and creates what I call the "rebel yell"! It's fun to blow past people on the interstate at 5500-6500 rpm and when you look in the rear view mirror, they are moving back over into their lane. When you hit it, people slide over to the right as it shrieks (like tearing paper) and is accelerating like a rocket. It'll rev to about 6800 without hitting the rev limiter ( I don't do that) but shouts louder with every upshift. I did the homework and bought mine in 2002, while they were still "used cars" for $36K. it's got 48K miles 22 years later. It'll go to one of my daughters, when I'm too old to drive it, and ultimately to my grandson. In the meantime, my mechanic tells me to "Drive it like you stole it". I take his orders. If you're looking, buy one, they "Don't make 'em like they used to."

Yeah, i get it, and I'm not trying to bash you. But for the uninformed, they need to know there's a lot left. Besides, you're not beating it until you're above 6500. Keep doing the videos, it spreads the word. ​@AddictedMotors

These cars are icons. Anyone with two or three functioning braincells left understands that these are going to be very valuable in the future.

I like the old air cooled Porsche models. Nowadays the simple VW Beetle heritage is a godsend for the DIY guy as these cars age. So the link is not a bad thing at all to me.

That is indeed a new key...the original keys, back in the day, had a silver and black Porsche crest, not a colored crest like that one (which is what you get now if you buy a new key).

The Varioram doesn't kick in until about 4500 rpm, he could have smoked the Camaro/Firebird in front of him. He spent a lot of time in the 2-3000 range, which will coke the engine, not to be run below 3k revs. He's a salesman not an owner.

Those aren't the stock rims right?
