Great game. Love the commercials because it's like time traveling.
I miss ABC Monday night football and the only primetime game of the week. It was so much better then
By the way, Dan Marino ended up on the Dolphins in part because he was passed on by the Steelers, his hometown team, coming out of the University of Pittsburgh. For nearly 40 years, Steelers fans have been wondering "what if" in regards to Marino, although he never won a Super Bowl with Miami.
Brings back bad memories as a Steelers fan, we were lucky to have such a quality defense because Tomczak was over the hill and horrendous as a starting quarterback, throwing just 1 touchdown to 9 interceptions in 1995. You know you’re awful when you can make Neil O’Donnell look competent
That 1995 season went down the drain real fast for the Dolphins and would be Shula’s last season. Meanwhile the Steelers would get healthy and March all the way to the SB. I do love the old commercials. New Heat coach Pat Riley!! That center he was looking for would be Alonzo Mourning. Thanks much!
Who knew that this would be the high point of Miami’s season.
2019 is going to be a very long season for the Dolphins. I'm just going to watch these old games on Sundays instead.
Commercials and all. Nice job.

After watching this i now want to try red dog beer
I have this game on vhs
Dan Marino and the No Defence Dolphins. What else is there to say? 1984-97.

Didn’t Marino also lack an offensive line in quite a few seasons?

@Calvin Montague you mean when they lost in the Championshi game with the D being clowned by the Bills Offense, giving up 182 yards on the ground and around 120 receiving yards just toe the Bills Running Backs?! Oh, what a Defense that was! While Dan was 1st ALL PRO for the year, with over 4.000 yds... clearly that team was carried by the D and the O stunk! Everybody who watched these teams know that the D was just decent in some years and nothing more, never stopping a true big O and melting when it mattered.
3:02:42 Frank and Al and Dan never got to call a Cowboys-49ers game, which I feel was a huge travesty

1:39:27 - The moment never came. So sad
Eric Green played against his former team
September 18th, 1995
This 1995 team was the most over-hyped dolphin team in history. A Collection of past prime vets was brought in through FA….former pro bowl TE Eric green put on weight and could not run routes - Gary Clark was a step slow. Hyped colt #1 draft pick from 1992- Steve entman ….safeties gene Atkins and mike Stewart were underachieving FA malcontents. After beating Steelers - they played the Colts and built a huge halftime lead only to squander it and lose Marino with a hip injury for the next 4 weeks. Kosar seemed like a decent insurance policy - but his arm strength was shot by 1995. They were upset by lousy Jet and saints team with Kosar throwing Ints ….then the defence quit ….Shula could not control the locker room. A team most figured to get 12-13 wins eeked into final wildcard with 9-7 and yield >300 yds on ground to Buffalo in first round of playoffs. No season disappointed as much as 1995. A sad way for don shula to go out…

And Shula would take the glory with him. Everyone was calling for Jimmy Johnson and he ruined Dan Marino's career. 62-7 loss to Jacksonville was the worst farewell game ever. The Dolphins have never been as good as they were under Don Shula.

@@johnreese3797 Shula deserved to finish his contract through 1996 - but Jimmy J’s hype machine in South Florida was in full throttle. Huzinga figured that Johnson would not wait until after 96 to take a second coaching job - and Tampa already was trying to lure him over . Huizinga let the misguided fan base guide his actions and Shula was forced out a year early. Jimmy averaged 9 wins per season over 4 years in Miami and had two first wildcard round playoff wins and 3 divisional playoff losses. Shula got canned for a 9 win season in 1995. The JJ era in Miami was a huge disappointment. He stocked a good defence via draft - but stumbled badly building an offence and running game which never materialized.

@@davidpridham3741 The decline of the Dolphins began with the move out of the Orange Bowl in 87 and then Joe Robbie's death in 1990. The guy had nine children and didn't plan his estate. Had the Robbie family remained in charge Shula never would have been forced out. Johnson improved the defense at the expense of the offense. Marino never made the Pro Bowl again under Johnson. His numbers dropped badly and Miami's offense ranked near the bottom of the league. Johnson took away Marino's ability to audible and kept drafting running backs instead of getting him some receivers. It was so horrible as a fan to witness his terrible mismanagement of the Dolphins. I don't think Johnson belongs in the HOF. You have to evaluate his whole career. What good he did in Dallas was offset by his bad experience in Miami. The way Marino left was a disgrace. I've never forgiven the organization for how they treated him in the end.

1:04:10 That is a play that needed to be zeroed in on for challenging. I can’t believe back in 1995 there weren’t challenges.
From Barry Foster to Bam Morris I think Bam Mprris is in prison for life if I remember correctly
