Thank you for sharing that. As a Dolphins fan I have nothing but the utmost respect for Mr. Woods and his fine career. An NFL staple at the time, for sure. :)

All of these comments are stupid. You have the initial comment as an attempt to get some attention. And then the comments from the sycophants. Who cares if he’s your uncle.

Back when "Ok, Boomer" was referring to Esiason, and not old people. And this was also the late Sam Wyche's last season with the team.

Thanks, as always, for posting. Great video quality, MNF with Giff, Al and Dan were such great announcers. Miss those intros, music, and of course, the Dolphins towards the end of Marino/Duper/Clayton era...

I was watching this game for the nostalgia, but when Stoyo went down from that cheap shot, I remembered... this is the game where Bryan Cox went to fight all of the Bengals.

As a Bengals fan I was just a kid, but I remember thinking what a classless act by #58. I was on Brian Coxs side. No need to go after the kicker, he posed no threat. Ashamed of my team that day. Green too. Dumb penalty.

Good Lord, I was at this game.. what a great find that popped up on my KZread.. however, I was watching so many fights in the stands, I didn't see the entire game. Was a great night.. "Old Lady Old Lady Old Lady".. I remember that started one of the fights.. LOL

Specifically, the stations not allowed to carry this game were: WPLG in Miami, WPBF in West Palm Beach (only in its third year as an ABC affiliate, taking the affiliation at sign-on), and WEVU in Fort Myers (now WZVN).

Fort Myers was a Dolphins Secondary Market? Didn't realize they're that close to Miami. What happened in Week 11 when Dolphins hosted Patriots in a Sunday Night ESPN game that was Blacked Out in Miami? I thought I heard somewhere the Cable Blackout Radius was only 35 Miles.

Your point is?? That a mediocre Dilfer can win a super bowl with a great defense and running back carrying the team. YET the best passer ever Dan Marino never won a super bowl bec his team's defenses usually sucked, and never had a good reliable running back to help him out. Imagine Marino with a defense lie the Ravens how many Super bowls he'd have won.

WPBF in West Palm Beach received its ABC affiliation because of affiliation changes in both South Florida TV markets (West Palm Beach is a separate market from Miami-Fort Lauderdale due to how big the South Florida area is in land area) at the start of 1989. NBC purchased longtime CBS affiliate in Miami, WTVJ, in 1987, but could not move all its programming there right away because WSVN's owner, Ed Ansin, wanted to keep NBC until its affiliation contract ran out at the end of 1988, allowing the station to air the 1988 Olympics and World Series. Thus, WTVJ had to be run as a CBS affiliate until the start of 1989, which neither network was happy with. CBS then purchased Miami's original Fox affiliate, WCIX, which due to short-spacing to WCPX (now WKMG) in Orlando, also with CBS, had its transmission facilities further south than the other major stations in Miami, leading to poor reception in Broward County. At the start of 1989, CBS and NBC moved all their programming in Miami to the stations they had purchased, and WSVN became perhaps the first ever news-intensive Fox affiliate (a major coup for the then three-year-old network), a format several other Big 3-turned-Fox stations would utilize beginning in the mid-1990s, a result of CBS losing the NFC package - and with it a number of affiliates, mostly in NFC markets - to Fox. Because of WCIX's signal issues in Broward County, CBS moved its West Palm Beach affiliation from WTVX - a station which as a UPN O&O, later came under common ownership with CBS; it is now owned by Sinclair - to WPEC, the former ABC affiliate, now also owned by Sinclair (and get this: you can't spell Sinclair without "sin" and boy do they sin). ABC moved its affiliation in WPB to new sign-on WPBF, a station which intended to operate as an independent. It was WTVX that became indie instead, and thus acquired much of the programming intended originally for WPBF. In 1995, WCIX and WTVJ traded channel positions, with the former going to channel 4 as WFOR, and the latter to channel 6; making WPTV in West Palm Beach the primary way of Broward County viewers to see NBC programming until the digital transition.

SteelBuck 6 some games get blocked for a commercial or pregame spot, sometimes a song. Have had a couple NBC games blocked because of Alcoa fantastic finishes. If possible I try to take the blocked content out unless is major part of game action. Hope it helps others understand how to fix something’s that get blocked.
