@ 2:20:04. Shows EXACTLY why Cowher was a genius as a head coach. He faked going for a 2 point conversion and forced the Bears to burn a timeout. Complete genius.

This was the first season I followed the Steelers like a Hawk. I was a big fan in prior seasons but I like other teams too (namely, the 49ers) but I knew the Steelers were SB contenders and lost to a lucky Chargers team the year before. My favorite player was Woodson so it sucked donkey balls he got injured the first game. This game, however, made me know they were for real. Winning on the road against the Bears was quite a feat for us throughout our history.

It really was, and I remember watching this game: at this point, Dave Wannstedt was considered a brilliant young coach whose team was going places. After this game, things weren't the same for neither the Bears nor him. Incredible game though, I had fun watching it.

If Rod Woodson didn't get hurt I think the Steelers win the Super Bowl that season, I know they played well in the second half but they wouldn't have started slow in the first half on defense against Dallas. This team was probably the deepest team in Steelers history post Noll. They had depth up and down the lineup.

  • @killalltogepis9916

Rod Woodson came back for the Super Bowl. Honestly though, I thought the Steelers were better in 1994 then they were in 1995 even though the Steelers lost in the AFC Championship in 1994 and made the Super Bowl in 1995. Granted, having Rod Woodson the entire 1994 season helped.

  • @bruceleeroy8302

I think Woodson going down was devastating but it made our offense open up and become more pass oriented. Had they had the passing game from 1995 with the defense from 1994, they definitely would have won at least one Super Bowl.

Me and my boys actually went to this game...We had no tickets and were going only with the hope of getting tickets....I was the only Steeler fan and the other 3 were Bears...long story short, I got lucky in that some guy picked me and said that his buddy couldn't make it so if I wanted to pay face I could have his ticket, which was AWESOME of him...We all sat separately but all got in...This was an incredible game and I admit that the Bears should have won but buttHead missed a chip shot giving Pitt life at the end...pitt still had to drive it to score but they wouldn't have had a shot had ButtHead made the chip shot.....What an incredible game.....it was COOOLLLD but I learned my lesson from a game in 1982 we attended in Chicago against the Lions...So cold and I was so underdressed...Didn't make that mistake again so I was nice and warm......
