@@bosskey7212 One of their best Defense units ever (The Defense in the late 60's was incredible & that might have been the best overall team besides the Mahomes years but that was before my time) But this teams offense wasn't that great. They had moments but usually every week was vintage Martyball & they would milk a 13-10 lead going late into the 4th & played not to lose. They also played really tight offensively & it always came back to bite us in the playoffs. I would say the mirror opposite of this team was the 2003 Chiefs. The offense was explosive & their Defense was about as good as the 95 Cheifs offense was. So overall I would say the best team I've seen before the Mahomes era is a hybrid: 1995 Chiefs Defense, 2003 Chiefs Offense

Thanks so much for this game! That 1995 Chiefs season was wild. Interestingly, the fumble return by Mark Collins was to the same end zone (and same CORNER of the end zone) as James Hasty's interception return to defeat the Raiders in overtime, AND Tamarick Vanover's punt return to defeat the Chargers in overtime in that same season. I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan, but that 1995 team was overrated and lucky. 13-3 could have very easily been a 10-6 record. The cracks were really beginning to show with the MNF loss to Miami late in the season. Also - the hit on Todd McNair was helmet to helmet, and wouldn't get by in today's NFL.

Maybe the most fraudulent 13-3 team ever. I had a feeling my tickets to the '95 AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh would be put to use even though KC had home field. I was pretty certain the Chiefs would lose in the divisional game no matter if it was the Dolphins, Chargers or Colts.

A similar situation that was handled logically, was The Dallas Texans to Kansas City move... Lamar Hunt didn't call the team the Kansas City Texans for one year solely to prevent another franchise from ever using the Texans name again rather it was Houston, San Antonio, or even a second Dallas squad... Another similarity is that like Lamar Hunt in Dallas, Bud Adams never changed personal residence and lived his entire life in Houston....
