I've put about 20 miles on the bike since I got it back. (I'm just learning, so thats 20 miles in a parking lot) The bike is running great, nice and smooth.

Curiously, any idea what the jetting is on this bike. I put a vm 30 on my 535 and while it runs and rides I'm still trying to dial in the jets. Pretty sure I'm at a 40 pilot and 140 main jet. Seems rich down low and lean up top.

No I don't know, it was already installed when I started on that job, and it ran good, so I never even looked at them. Also make sure you have good compression on both cylinder and check for good white or blue spark, before you worry about carb adjustments.

Vm 30 carb is designed for two stroke bikes up too around 300 - 350cc and is a crap carb to use for the conversion it's also on the small size and when the engine gets up to temp you'll find the throttle will stick open and it won't decelerate the rush of air in the small carb actually holds up the throttle slide the munkini Tm34 proformance carb is a much better carb for the job..... This bike to me don't sount like it's running that good either looks like it's a pwk carb on it but not sure..... I have 3 videos on my page with my tm34 carb running on my bike at idle and me riding it 15 miles or so and pulling a plug to check it after the carb and plugs had reached 1000 miles if your interested.....

Hey, do you know where the fuel pump was relocated to on this bike? The rear cylinder exhaust is going through right where the pump usually is

The pump is in its original position behind the left side cover as far as I remember. This is the stock exhaust system. Thanks for watching 🐲 Follow Dragon Worx Facebook:facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057489818717&mibextid=D4KYlr

No I don't, this was a customer's bike, he did the conversion and then brought it to me to get it running and tuned. But then there was alot of problems he didn't address that had to be done, that's where I came in.

It's a 34mm. Are sure everything else is good first? Good measured compression? New spark plugs? All your electrical connections clean free of any corrosion? Valves adjusted? Often times when there seems to be a condition with the carburetor/s and things aren't making logical sense, Often find out it was something else causing the issue. Just make sure everything else is good, if it is, then start jetting down carb to see if it acts better.

@@thedragon2299 yeah replaced the whole ignition from coils to plugs before I did the carb conversion dues to the original carbs being shagged Compression hasn’t been checked since the carb conversion so might be a shout, and I do want to check the timing as there does seem so be something wrong there

@mariusask I just use what was in there stock, and it ran pretty good, but in no time at all the plastic bowl started swelling and leaking. We changed the carburetor already. I can actually look in the old carb to see what jets are in it if you need me to. I will be away for a few days and can check when I get back

Well that is an open ended question, not sure if you are referring to a certain repair I did or the over all project. This bike just kept revealing new and different problems so it would be almost impossible for you to have all these same issues. So in saying all that, here is the story of this project. The customer was having trouble with the original carburetor set up on the bike as most people do, so he chose to do the single carb conversion, but then did not know how to tune it to the bike, so he brought it to me to tune it. That's when all the problems started to appear. There was rust in the fuel tank, then the petcock leaked, then the fuel pump quit, once I got all that fixed, I went for a test ride and the regulator/rectifier failed and caught fire, so had to replace that. Then the exhaust was leaking bad, so It needed new gaskets, while removing the bolts they broke and had to be drilled out and tapped. Once all the problems were solved I moved on to the led turn signals customer installed that would not flash, got them working. So after all this work, some time later we found out that the carburetor bowl was deteriorating from the ethanol fuel he was using, so it started all over again. I would not recommend any carb with a plastic bowl, this bike now has a different carburetor wirh a metal bowl. If I have a playlist on this project I will send it to you following this response. So in summary to answer your question the total cost was probably $1200-$1500 dollars altogether. A lot of that due to the faulty work the customer had done his self that I had to correct. Now in saying all that, you may not have thoroughly watched the video and only thought it was about the single carb conversion, which the customer did his self. The carburetor is only $35 not sure what he paid for the manifold, but a quick search you can find it. If I did it for a customer it would cost about $500 for the labor of the conversion. My shop rate is $100 per hour. Thanks for watching 🐲
