It's now 2016 and I'm still driving my 1993 Nissan Micra. Update 2018. Still driving.

you were smart. I sold mine in 2013 and got myself a new nissan note... Oh my god! I believed in nissan quality, now I only believe in old micra quality... To make a long story short: in 2033 you will see some old micras still rolling but non of notes...

@@danielhorrachsanchez4710 inside mirror broken in 18 months. Siren in 12 months. I did received new parts, but it was so disappointing. I mean, I sold micra for 1100€ and bought note for 12900€. I expected more...

This video made me proud of owning a Nissan Micra!

The Corsa B is one of the sturdiest cars in the world. My grandpa drives a 1994 model and he doesn't even put oil in it. Although, it has never let us down.

I think the AX has aged best, though I am biased as I own one! I have a 94 1.0 Spree and I love it, massively fun to drive and still going strong after 21 years :)

Thank god i found the second part of this video, i was stuck in the early 90's trying to figure out what to buy...... In short. its not a black and white horizontal stripe dress/pant suite...

Actually AX's proved to be quite well build. Much better than crappy corsa :)

What are you based on? I ask it because my mum had an AX and she always said that its body seemed to be "made of cardboard", referring to its, let's say, poor build quality

And also the Corsa, at least the 1993 one, is supposed to be well-built, and there's a promotional video on KZread where you can see its manufacturing process

I'd love a GT :D I've got a '94 1.0 Ax and I adore it, so fun to drive. I can only imagine how awesome the GT is to drive :O

And if you are trained enough, you can even compete in a mountain rally with your AX GT! In my country, Spain 🇪🇸 it has been (and still is) widely used in that kind of motor races

5 door Citroen AX Turbo Diesel for me. It ticks all the boxes, is economical, practical and has Citroën's traditional Gallic French idiosyncrasies built-in which I like.

I've never heard about any AX with a turbo diesel engine. Perhaps you mean a simple, atmospheric diesel (if I'm not wrong, a 1.5 one), since at that time turbo diesel was usually reserved to bigger and heavier cars (examples: ZX and BX)

@@danielhorrachsanchez4710 They did do a zingy AX TRD model, I remember it well.

No doubt about it, the Corsa is well-built and good in a crash (for its time), but the bouncy ride, lurchy handling and wheezy engine just aren't good enough. If I were buying one today as a semi-classic I'd have the AX, followed by the Micra.

I sold my 1997 micra in 2013 to by a brand new nissan note. It was one of the stupidest things I have ever done...

Phahahaahahahahahahaha. The micra is a boring car for old people. The Peugeot and the ford were the best easily.

well, Mr. Clarkson said that the Fiesta Mk3 (at least with that old 1.3 engine) was also a car for old people, since it can be described as 'old-fashioned' (the engine, rather than the car itself). All of that changed when the 16-valve 1.25 Zetec engine came and was fitted to its successor: the Fiesta Mk4
