1989 Pistons vs Mavericks Rare Game (4th Quarter Missing)

Спорт

This game between Isiah Thomas’s Detroit Bad Boy Pistons and the Rolando Blackman and Derek Harper led Dallas Mavericks would take place on March 27, 1989.
P.S this game would be Adrian Dantley’s first game against his former team Detroit Pistons. This would also be Mark Aguirre’s first game against his former team Dallas Mavericks.

this game took place on march 27, 1989 with detroit winning ugly as usual 90 to 77 beginning at [[10:32]] thomas wanted to walk away, yet dantley physically keeps his right hand on him not letting go, whispering in his ear so none of the nearby players could hear (i wouldn't be surprised if it was death threats considering how furious dantley is, chock full of rage knowing how thomas and mccloskey sandbagged his career)

intetesting with Motta as the Pistons color man as hin and Aguirre clashed in Dallas, one big what if is had the 1986 Worthy for Aguirre trade gone down, how digfferent history may have been from 1987 to 1991 or so. Also, right before the start Dantley told Isaiah he knew it was him behind the trade

When they traded away soon-to-be hall of famer Mark Aguirre, Dallas fell apart. Not only did they lose his scoring, rebounding and passing but he took the blame whenever the team lost, and their defence suffered without him. Detroit lost a ball-stopper who wanted his stats, Detroit got a better player who was willing to fit in. Every team Aguirre joined saw their winning percentage go up, he leaves and the winning percentage goes down for years, And even the great Larry Bird said that getting Aguirre turned them into champions, "When they got Aguirre they had somebody we needed to double team and they got so much harder to beat."

Aguirre: He was better than Dantley and proved it with him leaving Dallas; he was a willing passer which enabled the court to be open so you couldn't key on one guy .... At the NBA Finals level the opponent is so good/solid defensively, you hold the ball like Dantley it'll play into the hands of the defense .... Mark Aguirre should be in the Hall of Fame ... I do wish that Aguirre could have started more in 1991-92 but for some odd reason they used Orlando Woolridge more and paid him more money but wouldn't pay Vinnie Johnson and then they traded James Edwards to the Clippers -- traded 'Buddha'?.... The Pistons could have kept Edwards and Vinnie Johnson and kept winning after 1991.
