This is a fresh new perspective on an old story. NCS is the best cinderella run in CB history, but they also had a heck of a team. They had great senior leadership, great guard play (DW & SL), a top-ten pick (TB), size & toughness (CO & LO), a deep bench (TG, EM). If DW doesn't' get hurt against VA, they might have been a contender or a favorite. However, they wouldn't have had the edge they needed to run the table. The road they took prepared them for every step. IdK if you'll ever seen another run like this one.

My beloved alma mater is the greatest Cinderella in tournament sports. That is our brand. That is our calling card. And yes, our rivals in Durham and Chapel Hill may win more often. But the difference is, when we win, everyone in the building wants to be us, as the music soars and the credits roll.
