1978 Ludwig drumset cleanup, part 1a: Speed King pedal repair!

After 15+ total years in storage, I finally have my drums back! This is part 1 of a video series on my 1978 Ludwig Black Diamond Pearl 5-piece drumset that I've owned since I was 12 years old. We will go through all of the drums eventually, but this video will be the first half of restoring the Speed King bass drum pedal - which was in desperate need of a cleaning and some new parts/fresh lubrication.
Over the next few days I will amend this part of the description with the part numbers and website links for the things I used during this process. Thanks for watching!

Welcome back JB! Sounds like you will have more time now that you are off the ranch. Looking forward to more great videos as time allows. Interesting to see you take stuff apart, rebuild it almost as new, and give us tips along the way. Wranglerstar occasionally posts a video like this but he has moved on to a different focus on his channel. Keep you the great work and again welcome's back!

Thank you so much, John! Comments like yours really mean a lot to me, especially now as I sort of redirect how I'm doing everything. The support is hugely appreciated. I don't know just yet what the channel will look like moving forward, but it will be something related to fixing/reparing/restoring stuff in general...machines, vehicles, instruments, anything with a mechanical component that can be messed with. I have way too many side hobbies to leave anything alone. 🤣 Thank you again!

@BadChizzle in the works now. Filming is finished, just need to get some editing knocked out. Hopefully before Christmas!
