Great Video. Wished you had a picture of the truck stance after the repairs to the front and rear suspension. 😊

The sleeves in the bushings have Teeth to lock into the hangers so you do tighten them down, the entire point of bushings in springs is to twist with the suspension. Get everything together and once the weight is on it tighten everything down, I have never heard anyone say otherwise including any service or repair manuals I used to read as a kid.

You are correct however I am a long time “racer” and from experience you want your suspension to move as freely as possible with no binding that is why I always leave my bushings just barely touching . I do the same on my lower A frames on our racecar but I usually do as you mentioned on street applications.👍 thanks for the comment

We ordered these from O’Reillys they are stock height you can either get some from a place like rough country or bell tech or just put a spacer under the spring then you will need to find an alignment shop that can align these old beam units👍

@@ChristmanGarage one of the cool things about them back in the days when they were new was they didn't have any recalls on them unlike on a lot of the vehicles today. Those 6th gen Ford F-series pickups were the first to come in super cabs which were introduced back in 1974. Rewind back to the 4th or 5th gen F-series pickups, one of those two generations was the first to come in crew cabs which were the very first pickups with bigger cabs. It was either 1965 or 1967 was when the very first bigger cabs "crew cabs" Ford produced. The 6th gen F-series like yours were produced from 1973 through 1979 & the 2nd gen Broncos were produced from 1978 through 1979.

The Coil springs we installed in this video are stock replacement from O'reilly's. If you noticed the rear was still a good bit higher than the front so in the past months we pulled 2 leafs out of the rear springs and it leveled it out making it look really nice! If you lower the front of these trucks much below factory it is a bugger bear to get them aligned because of the twin Ibeam king pin configuration. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment.👍
