    WOW Brian great video. I really enjoyed it. My first bike was a 1975 Honda XL 70 at age 12. I'm 50 years old now and completely rebuilt a DS80 which my wife seems to like to ride around . Great video 👍

    Love souped vintage mini xr75s,had one back in the day. It had PK frame mono shock,ceriani forks, power roll big bore kit,eletronit ing.,bigger rims. That little bike was fast as shit and won many races around San Antonio and Austin Tx. area. Between 74-77 ,then moved up to 100 class on a Ward kitted Elisanor 125. thanks for sharing. I'm 59 years young and still have 2 old husky's, both are highly modified after all that's what motor cross racing was all about back then! Fred Hall New Caney TX.

    That’s cool I had a DG monoshock YZ80 and a team mate had the XR75 mono. We didn’t have a local class for 100 minis so only saw them in magazines and far off races.

When I see vids of me riding now I say yep that’s pretty slow lol. Hey if you watched the video all the way, I talked to Curt and Rob one day I stopped by about putting bearings in the cam tower one day. I know you guys do that on some vintage Honda heads. The bearings are easy to find, just need the experts to do it! Also are still at the shop at the end of Goodman? I thought maybe Curt was selling the building.

    Where was the trophy from? I raced an xr75 in 73-74 and moved to Yamaha in74. I can’t actually remember but I think I had a second yz80 and then rode a 125 Elsinore Honda for a few months before going to Yamaha for the duration.

  • @BrianMcNeill25

    Trophy was from chesterfield county Mx near pageland SC. Not far from your old neck of the woods. It was 8-10-1974 I think.

    What year cr80 triple clamps did you use?

  • @BrianMcNeill25

    @BrianMcNeill25

    9 ай бұрын

    Pretty certain it was a 1983 CR80 triple clamp, but the 82-83 may use the same clamps, or have the same tube diameter. This list is helpful, but besides the tube diameter, you have to consider the bearing sizes too. The OEM parts sites are helpful for that. organ-donor.org/motorcycle-data/fork-tube-diameter-list/#tube31
