    They need to prep and water the whole track! We bought memberships and paid to ride under the assumption that the whole track would be prepped and watered. If the prep is "light" that's fine. But closing half the track is not acceptable.

    I certainly can’t speak for them its only my 2nd time to ride there. It probably would go over better with folks if they state it will be a shortened track due to lack of rain/ other issues. It was also late notice to be open last weekend but glad they did.

    I don't know if he had numbers on. I really need to ride somewhere besides my house. Going to PA in 2 weeks for some races. I was asked if I'm going to Budds, we will see. More concerned with going to AMA Vintage Days and racing the following week after Budds. They get 140K people there over 3 days. It's so much fun. All vintage tho.....

    Either its softening up in front a little, I’m getting used to it, or I’m getting fatter 😂 but seems to be working pretty good. Some of the fast chop coming into corners is still a little squirrelly but I think my forks are a little high in the clamps.

    Wow i was down with an injury for a few years. I cant belive how un organized everything is Lol. like the atvs cutting across the track theres no safty hazards here! Smh sad to see this place in this kinda shape tho. Track looks like hasnt been touched in 10 years! Are the trails 1 way or jus go an hope u domt hit no 4 wheeler head on? I used to love that track an the sand! Those natural rollers/ sand woops were the best. An the jumps were very rider friendly. Ive not herd anything about this plave in years. Has anything changed since you made this video? It wouldnt be hard to get this place back to its prime!! I got equipment but looks like needs new owners. Done right this place would stay packed out

  • @BrianMcNeill25

    I haven’t been back in a while, and was there for trails at the time. An effort was made last year to rejuvenate about 1/2-3/4ths of the track but never went. Financially i think the 4 wheel crowd is their main source of income with a lower % of upkeep required. @Trailboss8736 could give a good update on the trails as he is the TrailBoss there.

    Lap battles are fun! I've done a few between new and old bikes as well, I think familiarity with both plays a big part, as well as how tough the track is (newer bike suspension is more forgiving). Let's face it there are just some jumps I'm not going to go for on a 1980s bike! But your result backs up what I've seen as well - a new bike isn't going to automatically make a 20 second a lap time difference for most of us mortals! You should try to spend a day on a 450F and then give it another shot though, I'll bet those time differnces would flipflop.

  • @BrianMcNeill25
    @BrianMcNeill254 ай бұрын

    Im sure they would. The bike is so smooth and fast, found the lines in the corners well, and was set up for a much taller and heavier guy than me. Plus its not my bike and i didn’t want to crash and break it.

  • @MVPever

    @@BrianMcNeill25 I've opened your channel and I've noticed that you are that rider who made those videos about the SSS conversion I watched some time ago. I think that your current fork must have improved the performance of your bike a lot compared to the old 46 mm. I have a '01 YZ 250 with that OEM fork and when I try more modern bikes they feel much faster just because of the suspensions, especially because of better forks.

  • @BrianMcNeill25
    @BrianMcNeill254 ай бұрын

    @@MVPever It took a little while to get them working well since they came off a 2008 YZ450 and the PO of the forks and shock had them revalved by factory connection and they had no rebound damping. I revalved close to the stock YZ250 valving. The forks inner cartridges were also worn and inner seals were bad. Once i got it all worked out they worked well.

  • @BrianMcNeill25

    It should work. Some differences still between the steel frame and aluminum frame triple clamps. Not sure about stem length, but may need to swap stems too in that one. If you could find a 2005 yz250f triple clamp, there may not be a need to mod the frame.
