That would've pretty funny... Too bad I sold the 350. But I have a 454 with corvette heads in the garage now that would be kind fun in a newer car or truck. I pulled it out of a 70 chevelle that I am swapping right now! Cant wait to get that done and post up some videos of that one.

Nothing really. It was our family car for the last 10 years and it started developing a really bad rear main seal leak. I just used that as an excuse to buy a newer Yukon (2015 denali with 92K miles) and finally do the LS swap I've been dreaming of for the old truck!

I can barely hear you. You are going to need captured trunnions, cam bearings and modify your oil pumps intake and outlet ports, add a $225 eBay oil pan that is GM hot rod knock that comes with a 2 bolt pickup tube, Sac City Corvette “Bar Bell” for back of main oil gallery over oil filter. The nice part about the oil pan from eBay, is it has no internal oil dump valve. Just thinking out loud! ASE Master since 1978 - Retired

Thanks for the feedback Dean... good stuff. Everything you mentioned are great things to consider and I put careful thought into all of that. If I were building something for someone who was paying me, I would do everything to ensure there was no future failure. However, I tend to put a little more thought and roll the dice on some things when I build things for myself. Oil Pan - I use the Holley 302-2. great for clearance and has a 2 bolt pickup tube. Barbell mod, trunnions, cam bearings, and oil pump mods - It all depends on what I am doing but for the most part I don't do any of that. Oil pressure was acceptable, cam bearings looked fine, and there was no noticeable wear on the old cam and lifters to suggest the stock barbell wasn't working good enough or the oil pump needed any mods. This was a budget build with a low lift mild cam that I rev to about 5800 and the rockers looked great so trunnions would've been overkill. Thanks again for checking out my build and I hope you enjoyed it! I'll be welding in new floor pans, rockers, cab corners, a fender patch and some other stuff soon. As well as a full TMI interior and custom center console with a stereo... so stay tuned!

Got it! Never owned a video camera much less even seen a go-pro. I just have a loud voice that carries as I held Tech Seminars in 7 states for ACDelco. One 4hr. Seminar every night starting at 6PM. Drive, Advanced Serial Data, get up, drive & setup, 80 techs, wash & repeat, Rockford, IL was always good for 100+ techs, teachers & shop owners., get up, Dubuque, another 80+. Told service boss I had to email my wife a photo of me every Friday. He asked why? I told him, she could print, show it to the dogs so I didn’t get bit when coming thru the door. Have a good one!
