So much cooler than sitting at home with my 52 inch led high def TV playing MW3 on my Playstation 3. If I was wealthy Id have all these old sub/pinball/shooting games from the 60s/70s. Thank you so much for putting this video up!

My fave arcades in the 70’s had a mix of the old mechanical games and the new digital stuff. The first racing game I played was a Scalextric slot race car that rode on top of a rotating drum with the track painted on it! I also remember a big glass aquarium type cabinet that had 2 divers riding a minisub. It rotated around on a rod attached to a central spindle. You used levers to make it go up and down to avoid physical sea mines.

I had no idea these kinds of games existed prior to electronic arcade units like Pong and Asteroids. Very nice!

My old childhood school teacher and her brother used to own a very popular arcade for many years and they had this machine along with hundreds of other old mechanical arcade machines, but this was one of my favorites. I'd love to find one someday.

I remember playing this game...You had to lead the torpedo ahead of the ship and you could slightly steer it to blow up the ship. There was also a little moterboat that was the fastest and hardest to hit. It scored big points. excellent vid. Brought back many memories.

Funny the smallest boat scored the most points. You'd think the carriers and cargo ships (the REAL targets!) would be worth the most.

I remember playing one of these at play land sf in the late 60s rite on the breezeway near the 22 rifle range and then in the mid 80s i saw one of these on a loading dock near where the chase center is destroyed by a sledge hammer is. These were very complicated inside with film reels to show the under water torpedoes and ships. The best ride at Playland was Capt Satelites helicopter. Sf was very same in the late 60s no homeless and everyone took care of each other and most people were married.

In USSR they sorta cloned this machine, was probably the most widespread coin-op, at least in the 70s-80s, name translates as "Sea Battle". Design pretty much similar to this one. I found a flash version online to play :). Its cool to see the original though, thanks for your labors.

I remember that, was one of my favourites when I was a child in 1980s. The usual place for these were the so called "halls of gaming automates" in city parks. One game costed 15 kopecks (0.15 rubles). I think the Soviet "Morskoy boy" ("Sea Battle") was slightly simplified compared to prototype it was copied after.
