Skating on high heels

When the boards were like that the skateboarding itself was pretty much just substitute for surfing. People would come up with different stuff while there weren't waves. When people started to build up their identity as skaters and not surfers killing time, it allowed evolving of the culture. More time people invested to skateboarding, even if there were good waves, they came up with new tricks and new solutions for skateboards. I think it's pretty cool to see history of the sports. If you'd break down those early skates more than often you'd find yourself with some pretty common items most of people might have in hand: broken roller skates, 2x4 plank and screws. I assume back then it didn't matter what you rode, because no other rider would really had anything "officially" right skateboard either. I think it's healthy way of thinking, because skateboards will evolve only when someone tries something new. That's one reason I love stupid skates too =D

I'm by no means a skater, but I quite enjoy this series you guys have. And it's really nice that you guys interact with the kids at the park and stuff. Good stuff :)

These guys are awesome, love the way they interact with all the skaters of all ages and skill levels. It's really special to be so skilled yet still remember how it was when you were starting.

basically you "Surfed" on those boards, just the motion propelled you, hence why they used to call it "Sidewalk surfing" when surfing season was over but the surfers want to continue

I don't know if I was the first to make this [game] but if I did I would call it, 'skate hierarchy'. Dedicated to yalls videos What you do is you take a kick flip and you build up to a more complex trick and the first to reach the top of the hierarchies wins. if you fail, you have to redo it all in its pattern. example() start with 1 kick flip (next hierarchy) then do 2 sequential kick flips then do one double kick flip (next hierarchy) do 3 sequential kick flips then do 2 sequential double kick flips then do 1 triple kick flip (you win) The pattern looks like this.. .............3 .....2.....22 1..11..111(can't triforce lol) I found this extremely hard to do with just flipping a remote controller in that pattern

Ive been skating since I was a kid and always said trick, but "trick" kinda does make it sound like magic or something meant to fool people like an illusion. And theyre not. It really is more of a stunt.
