The board is not made of wood but some pvc composite looking material with trucks mounted in an unusual way. I'd imagine that board weighs less than a normal board, though who knows, maybe it's the same. When Carlos did that grind in primo position down that flat hand rail... I've never seen a regular board do that. It's "Advanced" in the sense that the traditional skateboard parts could be changed and that could push the sport past its wooden roots and offer possibly some new tricks that maybe just weren't possible before. Not that I have anything against traditional boards... this just was impressive to watch from something that looked like it was just going to be a kids toy. Peace dude.
